T'Var Helling has always struggled with her conflicting natures. She tries to be a calm and collected person but at heart she is more a Klingon. She is strong and muscular, has slight but obvious forehead ridges, she is smaller than most Klingons and some humans, she has brown hair that reaches half way down her back and overall is quite beautiful.

She has one older brother, K'tal, one of the only people she has every cared for. When he was killed she drifted away from the rest of her family and started trying to look into a possible career with Starfleet. She finds it difficult to make friends because she has trouble opening up and getting close to people.

Star Fleet Academy

T'Var studied at Star Fleet Academy on Earth, San Francisco, for the first two years of her Star Fleet training. She began studying to be a science officer but a few months into her training she switched to studying to be a tactical officer.

T'Var then spent her 3rd year studying on Star Base 118. Her last year she studied aboard the USS Centris-A.

On 239110.21 T'Var graduated top of her class. Leland Bishop finished second in the class, the two had a rivalry all the way through the Academy and took their final exam together.

Most common symptoms are: Headache Neck stiffness Fever Confusion Altered consciousness Vomiting Inability to tolerate light or loud noises 2380.06.30 An accident involving bat'leths landed T'Var in hospital with a deep cut in her left leg (exposing bone) This resulted in the scar down the outer side of her left leg 239002.27 During PIOLET210 course in T'Var's third year During a practical exercise there was an accident involving three ships (collision + explosion): Two students sustained minor injuries Four students sustained major injuries One student (T'Var) sustained a life threatening injury One student died A piece of the bulk head hit T'Var in the lower back during the explosion, it severed her spinal column and several major blood vessels (resulting in the scar across her lower back) PAST SURGICAL HISTORY 239002.27 Because of the accident during a practical for PIOLET210 Metal shard had to be removed from T'Var's back The spinal column was realigned and set Blood vessels were sealed T'Var's back was healed Surgery was a success, saving T'Var's life but leaving a scar.
