Diplomatic Corps Personnel
The Federation Diplomatic Corps, sometimes referred to as "the diplomatic service" in contrast to "the service" that denotes Starfleet, is a civilian agency of the United Federation of Planets Department of the Exterior and is responsible for negotiating treaties with foreign powers and maintaining inter-member relations and diplomacy within the Federation.
See also: FDC Rank Structure for more information about FDC Personnel and their various roles.
Officers
Officers aboard Amity represent a third of the Outpost's total Starfleet complement. To become an Officer, these individuals have either graduated from Starfleet Academy or earned their commission through the Officer Candidate School after having attained an education in their respective field elsewhere.
Officers assume leadership roles within their departments and are responsible for training and supervising their junior officers as well as enlisted personnel and civilians under their command.
The following duty posts are given priority to PCs and are restricted from NPCs/PNPCs at this time:
Any Department Chief or Assistant Chief position
Intelligence officers
Ship's Counselors
Helm/Navigation officers
Operations officers
Strategic Operations officers
Enlisted
Enlisted personnel aboard Amity comprise the majority of the Outpost's Starfleet crew and are distributed throughout the station's departments serving in a variety of duty posts and special roles distinct from Officers. For example, Medics and Lab Technicians would be Enlisted personnel, whereas Physicians, Nurses, and Scientists are commissioned Officers.
All Enlisted personnel are eligible for NPC/PNPC play.
Amity also houses approximately 800 Civilians that work in scientific research, healthcare, dock & transport crew, construction & ship repair, and other vital roles as well as merchants, restauranteurs, clerks, and in other general labour positions.

Introducing a new NPC in-sim: You may introduce new NPCs to fill duty posts listed below that are not currently taken / filled by simming the character in a scene and then adding the character's information to the roster below.
Numbers listed for each Department are not necessarily static. If you have an idea for an NPC or PNPC you wish to introduce for a duty post that is not listed or is already at capacity, contact Command Staff to discuss the idea further.
Adding new NPCs to the wiki roster: This wiki is considered an out of character (OOC) resource to document what has been simmed. If you add a character to the wiki but don't introduce them in-sim, then others are permitted to introduce alternative NPCs in-sim and update the wiki to reflect the station's complement accordingly.
