The USS First Response was a Saber class vessel which served in the Ithassa Region during the early 2380's. Under the command of Captain Daniel Reynolds, the vessel was a major participant in the Gorn Conflict of 2383.

The First Response crucially towed the Galaxy class USS Tucson back to Deep Space 17 after the latter was damaged, passing through enemy-controlled space to do so. Both vessels were present at the Battle of Deep Space 17, during which the First Response was lost with all hands.
