Trapped, Major Parker detonated a significant amount of explosive to stop the advancing creatures. This action also caused significant damage to the Hercules and placed it into a decaying orbit. The crew evacuated to the away team shuttle and returned, under quarantine to the USS Thor. Doctor Hendon injected a sample of T’Lea’s blood into Cain in an attempt to halt the virus progressing through his system. Returning to the USS Thor the Hercules finally fell to the planet, burning up on entry to the atmosphere with the loss of all aboard.
Following quarantine protocols, Major Parker and Counsellor Brodie returned to the IKS K’Tal and discovered a hidden medical facility aboard the vessel, commanded by a holographic Klingon scientist. Major Parker swore to avenge the fallen Klingons and passed the information to Admiral Turner.

Plot Summary

An automated distress signal was received from the Hercules, which is a drilling rig/space station located in orbit above planet P-995, where also the Fortuna III mining/processing facility is located on a planet just outside of the Typhon Expanse. The Hercules and Fortuna are owned by the Nova Corporation with exclusive mining rights to the planet. They specialize in mining metal alloys, such as Titanium, and Duranium, which help build Star Fleet ships.

Starfleet has attempted to establish sub-space communications with both facilities but has failed. A Klingon vessel, the K’tal, is the closest ship in the area, agreed to check in on the Hercules which has a crew of 20 and the Fortuna III, with 53 ground employees. We've received news that upon arrival the Klingon vessel has scanned the small drilling rig and found that structural integrity is intact, and most of the life support is functioning, though there are some power failures throughout the station. There are no signs of weapons fire on the hull and no damage to the main sub-space relay tower. It seems that the lights are on, but nobody is home in both outposts. An attempt was made by the Klingons to beam into the drilling rig, but apparently, a quarantine protocol had been initiated on the station, blocking transporter use. The Klingon vessel is planning a hard-dock with the station to investigate, but they have requested back up, and Starfleet has chosen the Thor to go and investigate the situation and lend assistance. - Mission Briefing - Rear Admiral Toni Turner

Part 1

Upon arrival and review of the situation Rear Admiral Toni Turner divided the crew into three teams to attempt to uncover the reason for the distress signal. Delan Han, Boris Hendon, T'Lea, Adelaide Williams and Gogigobo Fairhug were tasked to investigate the Fortuna III facility. Once aboard they encountered personnel, a man named Dannon, who appeared to have succumb to form of illness.

Toni Turner, Kamela Allison, Daniel Cain and Wallace Williams were ordered to investigate the Hercules Orbital facility. The facility had been ravaged by an ailment noted by the CMO, Dr. Sebastian. Shortly after discovering this the away team came into contact with, and under attack from, members of the crew who had been affected in a similar way to those at the Fortuna Facility.

Alexander Brodie and Hannibal Parker, together with a team of marines were dispatched to the IKS K’Tal to investigate the apparent disappearance of the Klingon forces aboard. They discovered the ship deserted but unusually clean for a Klingon vessel.

Part 2

The team at the Fortuna facility discovered that the mutated crew did not show up on tricorder scans as living beings and it was suggested by Lieutenant Commander Han that they attempt to scan for calcium based entities or movement to track any others. During an engagement with these hostile entities Lieutenant Commander T’Lea’s biosuit became damaged and she was scratched deeply by one of the creatures. It was also discovered that a significant number of the creatures were still contained within the intact perimeter of the Fortuna facility and were converging on their position. The Fortuna team made their way to the shuttle and evacuated to the Hercules so as not to compromise the USS Thor. Major Parker & Conusellor Brodie, meanwhile, had been able to access the medical records aboard the K’Tal when Commander Han communicated their escape to the Hercules. Parker and Brodie, together with a team of marines, beamed directly to Admiral Turners position aboard the Hercules. Aboard the Fortuna team shuttle Doctor Hendon works to assess why T’Lea has not succumb to the effects of the contagion and discovers that the copper in her blood is causing the virus to die.

Part 3

All teams reunite aboard the Hercules as Admiral Turner’s team feel back from an advancing group of infected. Lieutenant (JG) Cain had become injured and his suit compromised, infecting him with the virus that had transformed the crew. The away teams found their communicators and transporters were non-functional due to significant amounts of molybdenum carbide in the air form the ore processing activity. This scientist passed on information from the original Klingon search team, now largely casualties, concerning the origin of the virus – the Romulans. Cairdeas Station

Teaser

Tasked with re-opening the once closed Cairdeas Station, the new Commanders of the USS Thunder-A, discover the station is not so empty.

Plot Summary

Part 1

During the initial boarding of the station the crew, led by Brayden Jorey and Oddas Aria discover a small crew of bandits and a dozen or so Laudean prisoners, bound for a life of slavery. Splitting up the two, and Irina Pavlova, manage to bring life to the station and drive the squatters back, rescuing the current prisoners. The effort does flush out the existence of a cloaked ship in orbit of the station, which the newly minted commanders of the Thunder decide to pursue.

Part 2

Some quick work on the part of the Thunder crew manages to estimate the destination of the cloaked ship, an out of the way system named Xertis. Deploying a Tachyon grid using their fighters they manage to deploy ahead of the cloaked vessel, and board it before it reaches its destination, an apparently abandoned space station.

Boarding the ship, an Away Team finds a group of Laudean prisoners, while another group secures the bridge and sabotages the ship.

Part 3

The Thunder is heading home under QSSD when a Laudean kills an Engineering Officer. The Laudean is confronted by the Thunder's Chief of Security, Irina Pavlova, and after a brief, but violent struggle, killed. During the struggle the Laudean reveals he is under the influence of some very powerful mind control, raising the possibility the other rescued captives are as well.
