The USS Garuda, NCC-73809, is a Galaxy class starship assigned, along with the USS Mercury, as a support vessel to the Invicta Expedition under the command of Fleet Captain Aron Kells. Before the establishment of Astrofori One, the Garuda served as the single-ship exploratory taskforce to the Menthar Corridor. Now under the command of Captain Kol Th'zhyner, she serves primarily as a long-range explorer escort for the USS Invicta, performing the diverse roles of several ship classes in the service of the Invicta Expedition.

Should the balances of power in any government's sphere of influence tip, the situation could quickly turn, leaving the ''Garuda'' and her crew in a very dangerous predicament.
