Federation Diplomatic Corps
Edit this nav

Starfleet officers assigned to Amity Outpost wear uniforms displaying the color of their division:

  • Command (Red) - CO, XO, Diplomacy, Helm
  • Operations (Gold) - Ops, Engineering, Security/Tactical
  • Sciences (Blue) - Science, Medical, Counseling

The Starfleet combadge and uniform worn on Amity Outpost is the standard duty uniform introduced in the 2400s - though Starfleet has instituted the uniform rollout gradually through 2400, so it is not uncommon to see officers still donning standard 2390's-era uniforms as well.

  • Age/Species/Sex: 38-year-old Betazoid Female
  • Birthplace: Ohmallera, Betazed

Ambassador Niarivi "Rivi" Vataix is a daughter of the Eleventh House of Betazed and the chief of mission and commanding officer of Amity Outpost.

Firstborn daughter of the Vataix family, Niarivi (known more commonly by her nickname Rivi) is a cheery young woman who will be tasked with the duties of head of the house once she assumes the title from her mother, Naminae Vataix. Until then, however, Rivi has been working on rebuilding the house following its losses sustained from the Dominion War and the attack on Ohmallera, having sought help from her cousin Sky Blake.

In 2398, she was appointed as a Federation ambassador and assigned by the Federation Diplomatic Corps to serve as the chief of mission for Amity Outpost, the Federation's newest diplomatic outreach to the species of the Delta Quadrant.

Wil Ukinix

Wil Ukinix

Wil’s home has always been Fremantle, but he attended junior school in Beijing, the Oceanic Regional Middle School in Auckland, New Zealand, and the Dr. Andy Thomas Senior School in Sydney, Australia.

He is close to his mother Stacey, and from a young age wanted to join Starfleet to be like his Mother. Throughout his life, he spent much of his time pulling apart and putting back together all manner of technology and reverse engineering software systems, which is how he came to have a technical mind. He also spent a lot of time at his grandparent’s winery - he has a great relationship with them, especially with Astrad.

Before joining Starfleet Academy, Wil took a "gap year" (that ended up being almost two years), which is why he was slightly older than other cadets.

Lt. Commander
Robin Hopper

Robin Hopper

  • Rank: Lt. Commander
  • Duty Post: Chief Science Officer & Second Officer
  • Age/Species/Sex: 29-year-old Human / Centauran Hybrid Female
  • Birthplace: Theta VII

Dr. Robin Hopper is a Human/Centauran Lieutenant serving as Chief Science Officer aboard Amity Outpost. She was previously posted aboard the deep space science vessel, USS Wall Street. She grew up on the 'old frontier' world, Theta VII, on her parents' hydroponic farm estate.

She completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, then went on to complete her masters in Physics. After six years studying physics in California, it was hard to ignore the call of Starfleet. She applied for the Academy on a whim, submitting an application to complete her PhD studies that she never expected to be accepted. Much to her surprise, she was accepted.

Robin’s first posting was aboard the Oracle Class USS Wall Street under the command of Captain Sh'Torn. There, she learned quickly, amidst a crew of dedicated scientific minds. Her genial personality and enthusiasm earned her a spot on the ship’s coveted ‘day shift’ where she would be able to work closely with the vessel’s Chief Science Officer, Trisha Montgomery. Under Montgomery’s tutelage, it wasn’t long before Robin achieved the rank of Lieutenant and took on a role as a Computer Science Specialist.

When news of Amity Outpost’s establishment in the Delta Quadrant reached Robin’s ears, she felt immediately drawn to the distant and exciting deep space station. Excited at the prospect, and with Chief Science Officer Montgomery’s recommendation on her file, Robin requested a transfer to Amity Outpost in early 2399.

Harrison Blackwood

Harrison Blackwood

  • Rank: Ensign
  • Duty Post: Helm / Com / Ops Officer
  • Age/Species/Sex: 25-year-old Human Male
  • Birthplace: London, UK, Earth

Ensign Harrison Blackwood is a Helm/Com/Ops officer aboard Amity Outpost. The oldest of three brothers, son to a pair of brilliant Starfleet scientists, and a fresh graduate from the academy. His parents hoped that even in the academy he might turn to their academic interests but Harrison didn't share a love for science - in fact he would resent his brother, Avery, just that little bit for believing he caved in and signed up due to pressure from their parents. Instead Harrison took a career in Command, learning everything there is about flying - any ship, any size.

His natural abilities combined with his determination to excel painted the picture of a resourceful and confident cadet. Harrison was invited to join Echo Squad (SARS Training Squad) in his second academic year. A program for cadets who would be specialising in search and rescue piloting operations upon graduation. He graduated in 2400, his first assignment being the recently commissioned and opened Amity Outpost in the Delta Quadrant, an installation belonging to the Federation Diplomatic Corps.

Keehani Ukinix

Keehani Ukinix

  • Rank: Civilian
  • Duty Post: Chief of Staff
  • Age/Species/Sex: 25-year-old Betazoid Female
  • Birthplace: Unknown, Betazed

First Secretary Keehani Ukinix (formerly Keehani Ral) is a Betazoid and granddaughter of Vaxa Ral (formerly Vaxa Ukinix), the disputed head of the Ninth House of Betazed. She is serving a diplomatic posting as Ambassadorial Aide on Amity Outpost.

Around the time of her graduation from university, she discovered that her second cousin Wil Ukinix was to become a Starfleet attache at Amity Outpost in the Delta Quadrant, under the command of fellow Betazoid and Chief of Mission Rivi Vataix. She persuades Rivi to allow her to serve on the Outpost, based on her exopolitics education. Keehani was given the title of First Secretary, and role as Aide to Ambassador Vataix.

Keehani is ambitious and career driven, with a polite and protocol driven demeanour in professional settings. In more personal and social settings she is not afraid to speak her mind, whether vocally or telepathically. She is bold and has a purposeful, strong, and unapologetic personality and believes in fairness and justice.

Vaje Kizat.png
Vaje Kizat

Vaje Kizat

  • Rank: Civilian
  • Duty Post: Deputy Chief of Mission
  • Age/Species/Sex: 40-year-old Cardassian Male
  • Birthplace: Drav, Nokar, Cardassia

Vaje officially first encountered the Federation through a diplomatic officer exchange program. He began his work as a Second Secretary under an Economic Counselor. The direct, Cardassian way he dealt with one of the early trade negotiations he was a part of was received with baited breath by the Federation officers but managed to bring the Tellarite representatives into a position where they were more open to discussions of mining rights on the moon with their Andorian counterparts.

While Vaje enjoyed the continued work, and even petitioned the Federation to continue his work beyond the expiration of the Officer Exchange Program. That withdrew him from the front though while the Diplomatic Corp reviewed his petition. While he was back on Earth he was allowed to work under a Public Affairs Officer. Partially due to a change from economics to a more public facing role in order to put his best foot forward to aid his chances at getting his working contract approved he focused on his work.

Vaje took well to the work suited to the interactions with the public and working to create the understanding of the policies that his Counselor sent his way. The approval of his petition led to another surprise as he was raised to the rank of Envoy and sent out on missions on behalf of his Counselor as a preliminary negotiator and explainer to ease things before the Counselor came in. These “Flash Diplomacy” missions saw Vaje doing one of his favorite things in travelling all over the Federation. His stock on the rise he was contacted by a fellow Envoy Jansen Orrey about an opportunity that would be opening up soon…

Nathan Richards

Nathan Richards

  • Rank: Lieutenant
  • Duty Post: Chief of Operations
  • Age/Species/Sex: 30-year-old Human Male
  • Birthplace: Bigfork, Montana

Nathan was born in Bigfork, Montana to Jennifer and Patrick Richards. The Richards family had taken on the duty of maintaining and protecting what remained of the Glacier National Park over the past 150 years. Spending lots of time in the National Park, Nathan developed exceptional survival skills and discovered his love for engineering while working on the autonomous park equipment and containment facilities. After many years, Nathan decided he wanted to be part of something more than just another ‘park ranger,’ as they used to be called, and enlisted into starfleet.

Nathan has always been a bit of a free spirit. A people pleaser. Going out of his way to make sure those he cared about were happy and taken care of. With an almost overwhelmingly positive personality, and a sometimes dark sense of humor, Nathan has never seemed to have an issue getting along with anyone he has come across.

Scotty Reade

Scotty Reade

  • Rank: Lieutenant
  • Duty Post: Assistant Chief of Operations
  • Age/Species/Sex: 34-year-old Human Male
  • Birthplace: Vancouver, Canada

Scotty was born on Stardate 236610.29 to Felix and Amelia Reade. Scotty was raised in a small family. A few years later his younger brother Sam was born. From a young age, Scotty always was keen in technology and engineering. Scotty’s dad Felix was a Starfleet officer, because of this he was always traveling to where his dad ship was posted.

He applied to the academy and was accepted. He took this knowledge and applied for Starfleet under Engineering. He decided to major in Propulsion while at the academy. After graduating from the Academy, he was assigned to the USS Veritas as an Engineering Officer. He is a quick thinker and loves getting to know people. He always passionate about what he does, and he always tries to complete what is assigned to him. Any of his friends will say if they ever need help, Scotty is always there no matter the issue or time of day.

Charlena Vanlith

Charlena Vanlith

  • Rank: Lieutenant
  • Duty Post: Engineering Officer
  • Age/Species/Sex: 27-year-old Risian Female
  • Birthplace: Suraya Bay, Risa

Lieutenant Charlena Vanlith, born and raised in Suraya Bay, Risa, developed an early fascination with the universe during annual celebrations. Driven by a family crisis at age 13, she pursued engineering to improve her brother's life. Excelling at Starfleet Academy in engineering and xenobiology, she joined the USS Veritas, aspiring to advance her career as a Starfleet officer and potentially become a chief engineer. Her journey reflects a transition from a love of nature and the arts to a focused commitment to technological solutions and the greater good.

Rebecca Iko

Rebecca Iko

  • Rank: Lieutenant
  • Duty Post: Assistant Chief of Security/Tactical
  • Age/Species/Sex: 25-year-old Human / Klingon Hybrid Female
  • Birthplace: Campbelltown, NSW, Australia

Rebecca, or Bec as she is known to most people (if not all) grew up on Earth in a small town known as Campbelltown near Sydney, Australia, as the youngest of 4 with three older human-hybrid stepbrothers.

Bec applied for and was accepted into Starfleet Academy in 2393, however, she had to retake her first year due to failing, not one, but several subjects. Bec took basic classes in engineering, security and Medical, not yet quite sure which direction she would head into. That year's results were clear, as both engineering and medical ended up coming back with atrocious grades, despite her studying efforts. She continued in security for the rest of her academy days. Bec didn't have many friends at the academy, as she was mainly found studying or catching up on last-minute work, determined not to let her chance at being a Starfleet officer float away in the wind. When she got to Amity she found everyone clearly already forming friendships and acquaintances but found it surprisingly easy to scoot into those groups and determine her small corner of mates. She never thinks too much about climbing the ranks - other than getting out of the Academy.

While at Amity she has discovered many things about her family, including her mother's Betazoid heritage. This fact when initially given made Bec feel rather confused, and after more thought fueled the anger she already had for her maternal ancestor. She also met her father, who was absent from her childhood and there is tension in the relationship. She's also struggled with emotional effects after each mission but is quite grateful for her support system of many friends and the many people she has named her brothers.

Kaito Moore

Kaito Moore

  • Rank: Ensign
  • Duty Post: Security/Tactical Officer
  • Age/Species/Sex: 24-year-old El-Aurian / Human Hybrid Male
  • Birthplace: Earth

Born into a Starfleet family, Kaito's father commanded an older Excelsior-class starship, and his mother served as the CMO of the same vessel during the war. Katio Moore can be easily defined as a post-Dominion War baby—one of many born after that terrible war. Still, he does not let that define him.

However, he wasn't initially certain about Starfleet. Growing up, he always felt overshadowed by his sister. She was the family's overachiever—not perfect, but seemingly close. Her being six years older than him compounded this feeling. At the same time, both of his parents were in Starfleet, and when Nora was old enough, she also enrolled, graduating with a double major. Moore wanted to ensure that his decision to join Starfleet was his own and not influenced by his family, both biological and the officers and enlisted personnel he considered family too. After some disagreements with his mother and initial push-back but eventual encouragement from his father, he was allowed to leave the ship at seventeen, as soon as he finished his secondary school studies, to venture out into the stars. His only orders were to report back occasionally, not get into too much trouble (as his father told him quietly), stay safe, and strive to leave the galaxy a better place.

Of course, the first thing he did was to book passage on the shadiest civilian transport he could find, aiming to head as far away from the Federation core worlds as possible. He wanted to understand life both within and outside Starfleet's influence. During his two years of travel, he grew to appreciate the importance of Starfleet and the Federation and the freedoms they brought to hundreds of worlds and countless lives. By the end of his journey in 2396, he was ready to enlist in Starfleet to satisfy his wanderlust and help make the galaxy a better place, albeit now with a few new habits and quirks. In 2400, he graduated with a Master's degree in Tactical Operations and minors in Navigation and Security, with sufficient credits to qualify for Operations as well.

Torvi Ylvor.jpg
Torvi Ylvor

Torvi Ylvor

  • Rank: Ensign
  • Duty Post: Security/Tactical Officer
  • Age/Species/Sex: 24-year-old Trill (Joined) Female
  • Birthplace: Alkenzi Minor

Originally born as Torvi Endez, she has had an ordinary life on the colony of Alkenzi minor, an established colony of over 15000 colonists on a lush forested world. Travelling to core worlds of the Federation, she was exposed to seeing Starfleet at a young age and was fascinated by the colorful uniforms, starships and shuttles. Joining Starfleet was her ultimate goal becoming a flight control officer, starting off in shuttles and then moving up to starships. She also had aspirations to become a joined Trill, to experience previous lifetimes in addition to her own was something that she longed for and expected it to happen once she had established herself in Starfleet.

Not exactly following in the predicted plan she put in place for herself, going from a Helm officer major to Security/Tactical instead, Torvi has had to let go of her love of flying. Having experienced trauma with her most recent host Cirila, a shuttle incident has caused long lasting post-traumatic stress from being in shuttlecraft. This became prevalent during her flight training, wherein she lost her natural ability and was prone to panic attacks during training. The Ylvor symbiote has been joined eight times and has been around for 280 years. The hosts have ranged from Anthropologists discovering a feudal world and accidentally becoming a member of their society, to a Starfleet Marine who fought in multiple engagements. Most uniquely, one host disappeared for 15 years and had little recollection of why or what occurred, it is still unknown. Recently the previous host passed in a training accident involving a shuttlecraft and Torvi was the only Trill in range to assist. Taking a year off from the Academy, she was tasked with undergoing training to fully accept the Symbiote. It is still fresh in her mind, and she is still having issues finding herself.

Lt. Commander
John Carter

John Carter

  • Rank: Lt. Commander
  • Duty Post: Chief Counselor
  • Age/Species/Sex: 45-year-old Human Male
  • Birthplace: Kansas City, Kansas

Early on, John was an avid reader, and he pretty much read whatever he could lay his hands on. His thirst for reading led him to languages and he learned several languages, including Romulan, Klingon (two dialects), Vulcan and a little bit of Ferengi.

His love of the spoken word took him to the University of Kansas, where he majored in both Linguistics and Psychology, graduating in 2376. On the advice of his mother and father, he went to college first before attending Starfleet Academy, where he majored in Counseling and Communications. He always had a drive to talk to other races which inhabited the Federation, and he always had a drive to see what was over the next hill, find the next new sentient race, learn their language and teach them his. His parents made sure they kept him out of the Dominion War by having him go to college first before going to the Academy.

Graduating in 2380, Johns’ first assignment was at Starbase 375, where he was assigned to the Counselors’ Office, where he was one of ten on the staff. In late 2398, John was assigned to Amity Station, an assignment he requested because of the opportunity to meet and converse with new races in the Delta quadrant and hopefully help the Federation and Starfleet make a few new friends, and strengthen old ties. It is an assignment he is looking forward to.

Jansen Orrey

Jansen Orrey

  • Rank: Civilian
  • Duty Post: Chief Medical Officer
  • Age/Species/Sex: 41-year-old Human Male
  • Birthplace: Starbase 10

Dr. Jansen Orrey previously served as a Medical Officer aboard several vessels, before entering civilian service for the Federation Diplomatic Corps. After taking some time off, he was recalled to serve as temporary CMO aboard Amity Outpost while overseeing the training of Lt. Ikaia Wong as a Medical Student (MD).

Ikaia Icon.png
Ikaia Wong

Ikaia Wong

  • Rank: Lieutenant
  • Duty Post: Medical Student (MD)
  • Age/Species/Sex: 27-year-old Klingon Male
  • Birthplace: Unknown (Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii)

Ikaia Wong doesn’t know his bio parents and never grew up in a Klingon family or surrounded by Klingon culture. Instead he was adopted by the Wongs, his human family. The middle child of three children, Ikaia grew up surrounded by a loving family in Honolulu. He was a quiet and curious child who was interested in the world around him and why it was the way it was. He often liked exploring Hawaii’s many beaches or visiting his Aunt Niko’s alpaca farm on Moloka’i where he would eventually work during the summers in his teens. Eventually, he would follow his mother, a doctor and lifelong influence, into Starfleet to pursue medicine.

After serving aboard the USS Veritas, Ikaia Wong is looking forward to his new posting at the Amity Outpost as the Chief Medical Officer. He has currently earned his Emergency Medicine Fellowship with the Starfleet Medical Academy. *Wong is currently working towards his MD as a medical student under temporary CMO Jansen Orrey.

Ikaia is generally a friendly, polite and affable sort of person who cares deeply for those around him and under his care. He is a driven individual who is willing to sacrifice himself in order to protect a patient. Although, Ikaia does have a nervous streak to him.

Nadeshiko fall2400.png

  • Rank: Civilian
  • Duty Post: Analyst
  • Age/Species/Sex: 1-year-old Coppelius Android Female
  • Birthplace:

Nadeshiko was first activated as a remnant of the Epsilon Program in SD2392, 7 years after the synth ban put into place as a result of the attack on Mars. At the time, Starfleet Science argued that stricter programming limitations were put on the few remaining AI matricies, and that beings such as the Doctor had proven that self-aware AI could be trusted to not turn murderous. In 239210, she was deactivated as the anti-synth faction in SF Command, led by then-Commodore Oh managed to shut the revised project down, and her body was disassembled. Her matrix was successfully saved, but consigned to deep storage.

In late 2399, when the origin of the attack was discovered, the United Federation of Planets revoked it’s internal treaty, and a new body was assembled, as a new prototype of the Coppelius androids, this time built by the Daystrom Institute. While Nadeshiko was successfully activated, her twin Sakura was not. As her AI was originally inclined towards serving as an AI of a starship, there were immediate problems with integrating her matrix with the new body, and even after they resolved, the future of the Epsilon Program seemed to be sealed. However, as there was still some alarm on Earth and Mars, Nadeshiko asked if she could be sent to another installation to work as a science analyst. Correspondingly, she was dispatched as a member of Daystrom under a program from Starfleet Science, and sent to Amity Outpost.
