Lieutenant | Dr. Robin Hopper is a Human/Centauran Lieutenant serving as Chief Science Officer aboard Amity Outpost. She was previously posted aboard the deep space science vessel, USS Wall Street. She grew up on the 'old frontier' world, Theta VII, on her parents' hydroponic farm estate.
She completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, then went on to complete her masters in Physics. After six years studying physics in California, it was hard to ignore the call of Starfleet. She applied for the Academy on a whim, submitting an application to complete her PhD studies that she never expected to be accepted. Much to her surprise, she was accepted.
Robin’s first posting was aboard the Oracle Class USS Wall Street under the command of Captain Sh'Torn. There, she learned quickly, amidst a crew of dedicated scientific minds. Her genial personality and enthusiasm earned her a spot on the ship’s coveted ‘day shift’ where she would be able to work closely with the vessel’s Chief Science Officer, Trisha Montgomery. Under Montgomery’s tutelage, it wasn’t long before Robin achieved the rank of Lieutenant and took on a role as a Computer Science Specialist.
When news of Amity Outpost’s establishment in the Delta Quadrant reached Robin’s ears, she felt immediately drawn to the distant and exciting deep space station. Excited at the prospect, and with Chief Science Officer Montgomery’s recommendation on her file, Robin requested a transfer to Amity Outpost in early 2399.

Harrison Blackwood is a Helm/Com/Ops officer aboard Amity Outpost. The oldest of three brothers, son to a pair of brilliant Starfleet scientists, and a fresh graduate from the academy. His parents hoped that even in the academy he might turn to their academic interests but Harrison didn't share a love for science - in fact he would resent his brother, Avery, just that little bit for believing he caved in and signed up due to pressure from their parents. Instead Harrison took a career in Command, learning everything there is about flying - any ship, any size.
His natural abilities combined with his determination to excel painted the picture of a resourceful and confident cadet. Harrison was invited to join Echo Squad (SARS Training Squad) in his second academic year. A program for cadets who would be specialising in search and rescue piloting operations upon graduation. He graduated in 2400, his first assignment being the recently commissioned and opened Amity Outpost in the Delta Quadrant, an installation belonging to the Federation Diplomatic Corps.

Vaje officially first encountered the Federation through a diplomatic officer exchange program. He began his work as a Second Secretary under an Economic Counselor. The direct, Cardassian way he dealt with one of the early trade negotiations he was a part of was received with baited breath by the Federation officers but managed to bring the Tellarite representatives into a position where they were more open to discussions of mining rights on the moon with their Andorian counterparts.
While Vaje enjoyed the continued work, and even petitioned the Federation to continue his work beyond the expiration of the Officer Exchange Program. That withdrew him from the front though while the Diplomatic Corp reviewed his petition. While he was back on Earth he was allowed to work under a Public Affairs Officer. Partially due to a change from economics to a more public facing role in order to put his best foot forward to aid his chances at getting his working contract approved he focused on his work.
Vaje took well to the work suited to the interactions with the public and working to create the understanding of the policies that his Counselor sent his way. The approval of his petition led to another surprise as he was raised to the rank of Envoy and sent out on missions on behalf of his Counselor as a preliminary negotiator and explainer to ease things before the Counselor came in. These “Flash Diplomacy” missions saw Vaje doing one of his favorite things in travelling all over the Federation. His stock on the rise he was contacted by a fellow Envoy Jansen Orrey about an opportunity that would be opening up soon…

Originally born as Torvi Endez, she has had an ordinary life on the colony of Alkenzi minor, an established colony of over 15000 colonists on a lush forested world. Travelling to core worlds of the Federation, she was exposed to seeing Starfleet at a young age and was fascinated by the colorful uniforms, starships and shuttles. Joining Starfleet was her ultimate goal becoming a flight control officer, starting off in shuttles and then moving up to starships. She also had aspirations to become a joined Trill, to experience previous lifetimes in addition to her own was something that she longed for and expected it to happen once she had established herself in Starfleet.
Not exactly following in the predicted plan she put in place for herself, going from a Helm officer major to Security/Tactical instead, Torvi has had to let go of her love of flying. Having experienced trauma with her most recent host Cirila, a shuttle incident has caused long lasting post-traumatic stress from being in shuttlecraft. This became prevalent during her flight training, wherein she lost her natural ability and was prone to panic attacks during training. The Ylvor symbiote has been joined eight times and has been around for 280 years. The hosts have ranged from Anthropologists discovering a feudal world and accidentally becoming a member of their society, to a Starfleet Marine who fought in multiple engagements. Most uniquely, one host disappeared for 15 years and had little recollection of why or what occurred, it is still unknown. Recently the previous host passed in a training accident involving a shuttlecraft and Torvi was the only Trill in range to assist. Taking a year off from the Academy, she was tasked with undergoing training to fully accept the Symbiote. It is still fresh in her mind, and she is still having issues finding herself.

Early on, John was an avid reader, and he pretty much read whatever he could lay his hands on. His thirst for reading led him to languages and he learned several languages, including Romulan, Klingon (two dialects), Vulcan and a little bit of Ferengi.
His love of the spoken word took him to the University of Kansas, where he majored in both Linguistics and Psychology, graduating in 2376. On the advice of his mother and father, he went to college first before attending Starfleet Academy, where he majored in Counseling and Communications. He always had a drive to talk to other races which inhabited the Federation, and he always had a drive to see what was over the next hill, find the next new sentient race, learn their language and teach them his. His parents made sure they kept him out of the Dominion War by having him go to college first before going to the Academy.
Graduating in 2380, Johns’ first assignment was at Starbase 375, where he was assigned to the Counselors’ Office, where he was one of ten on the staff. In late 2398, John was assigned to Amity Station, an assignment he requested because of the opportunity to meet and converse with new races in the Delta quadrant and hopefully help the Federation and Starfleet make a few new friends, and strengthen old ties. It is an assignment he is looking forward to.

Ikaia Wong doesn’t know his bio parents and never grew up in a Klingon family or surrounded by Klingon culture. Instead he was adopted by the Wongs, his human family. The middle child of three children, Ikaia grew up surrounded by a loving family in Honolulu. He was a quiet and curious child who was interested in the world around him and why it was the way it was. He often liked exploring Hawaii’s many beaches or visiting his Aunt Niko’s alpaca farm on Moloka’i where he would eventually work during the summers in his teens. Eventually, he would follow his mother, a doctor and lifelong influence, into Starfleet to pursue medicine. | Ikaia Wong doesn’t know his bio parents and never grew up in a Klingon family or surrounded by Klingon culture. A native Centauran still fresh from the Academy, Niev Galanis was born and raised on a Velestian island small enough to walk a lap around before the sun set. Raised by their birth parents - a salty sailor and a passionately artistic holo programmer - Niev's formative years were split between the seas and high-end holosuites of their home world. Amidst that occasionally literal maelstrom of travel, Niev turned a childhood fascination with their island and the forces of nature around it into a passion for planetary sciences that would lead them into Starfleet Academy. While enrolled they established a reputation for dedication and excelled in their chosen track of Science, but their aloof and occasionally frank nature made socializing with a cohort for the first time an ongoing learning experience. Androgynous in appearance and attitude both, Niev comes off as comfortable with themselves and doesn't express or correct gender pronouns.

Ensign Varati is a young, slightly impetuous person with a “big heart” for her mates. She is very inquisitive, never gives up and is not above “quick & dirty” solutions (even though she has undergone a certain amount of diplomatic training). She can be open, but also very secretive. Her family is sacred to her.
Even if she likes to make ironic and sarcastic remarks, she would never lack respect for her colleagues and superiors.
A holodeck with a rainforest simulation for discovery tours or deep relaxation is a wonderful way for Varati to balance her work (and chocolate).

Sam was born and raised in Bigfork Montana alongside 3 brothers and one sister.(Her sister Alexis unfortunately perished at the age of 12 after a run in with a bear.) Sam grew up with a love for the outdoors. Which was great considering her family was responsible for Glacier National Park. Sam's heart was never set on taking up the family business with the park, she dreamed of life in the stars and pursued her dreams to obtain her degree in Planetary Science. After gaining her masters at MSU she found herself wondering if Starfleet was really for her. It wasn't until her brother, Nathan came for a visit and brought along his brilliant Chief Science officer girlfriend Robin Hopper, that Sam really wanted to give life in the stars a try. With hopes of joining Nathan and Robin on Amity, Sam decided to come aboard as a Civilian Science Officer to really get a feel for things in Starfleet.

Uniforms Starfleet officers assigned to Amity Outpost wear uniforms displaying the color of their division:
The Starfleet combadge and uniform worn on Amity Outpost is the standard duty uniform introduced in the 2400s - though Starfleet has instituted the uniform rollout gradually through 2400, so it is not uncommon to see officers still donning standard 2390's-era uniforms as well.
