Charlotte was raised by her father and only brother, Robert "Rex". She spend most of her time on the family freighter until the age of 18, when she applied for Starfleet. At the time she wanted to prove that she was as capable as her bother. She failed to meet the requirements for the first time. During her time on a long haul freighter she has picked up a lot from some of the travelers that they would ferry from place to place, and while not fluent in anything other then Federation. She could probably insult you in many different languages, if you got on her bad side. That said she has some working knowledge of a of different languages from the changes in the crew over 18 years. She reapplied again and was turned down for the academy when her father retired and the business passed to the older brother "Rex". She was upset that she would play a secondary role and then applied to be a crew-member in Starfleet. She spend her early time on Starbase 118 as a tactical specialist, and then transferred to the USS Aurora. There she became a member of the security department as well.
When the ship was mothballed she was transferred to the USS Avandar. During the time on the Avandar, she worked on a 'Anti-Energy Probe'. The weapon was fired at a Romulan Bird of Prey in a nebula near the Werent Colony. The AEP was credited with helping to disable the warbird. It was officially added to the weapons load out of the Avandar. She was then transferred to the USS Vigilant.
She is good with a hand phaser, or her own personal weapon, an old Klingon disruptor, that was given to her by father. She had developed friendships with LT. Cmdr. Matthews who is now been transferred and the two wild women Ensign Peiy and Ensign Penny. Charlotte at that time didn't care too much about rank, trying to be friends with everyone. A one time she had developed quite a taste for Romulan ale. After the recent events of the mission on 'Eden' she had developed a working friendship with Lt. Commander Eerie.
Charlotte experienced a dream with the rest of the crew of the Avandar where as she lived 10 years in the space of just 10 hours. It has had some effect on her with relationships with other aboard. During that time she had a brief romance with Marine 2nd LT. Beornan Oumriel. After the dream she had tried to rekindle that relationship with no success. She had a disastrous date with Chase Valaine. After that date, she had spend a lot of time reading romance novels and has been a bit more discriminating.
While confidence was never an issue with her. She has become more of a team player. It used to be that she hated to get up for her shift, after getting accepted for the academy she is now on time for shifts and found a new focus on her career.
On the Avandar and the Vigilant she was in tactical/security office assisting with the various reports and memos that are always coming and going. She particularly does not like to be on the bridge. It was a bit too formal up there for her tastes. She now works effectively on the bridge, however she spends most of it in main engineering.
With her transfer to the Vigilant she had to learn a whole new crew. However, this is something that Charlotte loves. Social interaction.
She has had the opportunity to be assigned to several away missions, and preforming well. She has spend some time socializing on board. She developing a friendship with now Captain Greir while they were on shore leave on Deep Space Six. She also enjoyed the company of Ola Naran, who works with her in the Security & Tactical Department, but has now been transferred over the Deep Space Six. She was sorry to see Captain Reinard transferred to a new ship but she was tempered to know that he had his own command.
For a while she was dating Lt. 'Ox' Brown of the Marine detachment on the ship, this ended when she was training on Deep Space Six, and on her return he had been assigned elsewhere. With her promotion to crewman 1st Class she had applied for Starfleet academy and has been accepted as a cadet for the academy. She has completed her basic classes at Deep Space Six. She is now a cadet 4th class, and assigned back to the Vigilant.
On Deep Space Six, she had to buckle down and spend time learning the ways of an officer. She has decided that she is going to make it as an officer some day, and has been on the 'wagon' forgoing most alcohol. While on Deep Space Six, she ran into her brother 'Rex' who is now taking the family shipping busy in the near by sectors.
Charlotte had decided to make her focus of study engineering. She will continue to take courses on the Vigilant which will gives her a lighter duty schedule on the ship. She was surprised to find Lt. Brown transferred when she arrived back on the Vigilant. She has sworn off marines until the next totally irresistible comes on board. She is thinking about making intelligence as her minor, this as the urging of Lt.Cmdr Zehn, former Chief of Intelligence on the Vigilant.
She now has cadet crew quarters on the ship, but being a cadet she is enjoying the solo quarters. She was looking forward to getting some of her clothing in storage out and into her room, however she had decided against that. Charlotte has decided that keep most of her clothing put in storage on DS6. She is working part time in the engineering department.
During a recent shore leave on Zakdorn IV, she reconnected with Chase Valaine and they decided to bury the hatchet, so to speak.
She joined the rest of the crew with the transfer to the Vigilant-A. She spent her missions on the new ship in the main engineering department.
She has been transferred to the USS Victory. She had been continuing with her academy studies. She works normally a half shift and then studies for exams and takes classes via subspace. She misses away missions, but had passed her first year studies and is now a second year cadet. She had been doing a good job with her studies. She still has a tendency to get in other people's concerns. However, she is just a very outgoing person. She works part time in the engineering department and her studies take up a lot of her time aboard.
After the decommissioning of the USS Victory, she was ordered to the Academy on Earth. There she is testing out of classes and has been placed in the fourth year cadet class. She just completed her classes and passed her academy final exam. She is now a Ensign. She has been recently been assigned as a engineering officer to the USS Gorkon.
She is currently unassigned, waiting for redeployment.
