Esperance is an allied, non-Federation world known as the "Gateway to the Federation" due to its location near the border of the Federation and the Colonial Coalition. Home to Star Station Esperance, a major commercial spaceport and trade center with a population of 18 million, Esperance itself has a population of 12 billion, many of whom are immigrants from all corners of the galaxy. Locations
AdelaideNamed after the city Adelaide on the Australian continent on Earth, the city centre is a of a planned design surrounded by a green belt of parklands, mimicking its Earth counterpart. Several streets of both cities also share the same name. In the south-western corner in the belt of parklands that surrounded Adelaide’s city centre is Holdfast Oval. In the warmer Adelaide months it was host to local grade cricket matches. It has one small building near the edge of the ground which acts as the pavilion for the players, along with a small bar for patrons. There are a series of benches in front of it that span that western side. The rest of the oval is surrounded by grass and tall native trees[4]. Rundle Street is the main linear entertainment district in the city center. It is a wide, luxuriously paved walkway that is 2.5 kilometres long, with tracks for a hover light rail system that runs down the middle of the "street". On each side of the walkway are door to door entertainment establishments, including bars, restaurants, nightclubs, karaoke venues and tattoo parlors (with questionable hygiene practices)[5][6]. The eastern end of Rundle street is considered to be upmarket, while the western end is known for having a "seedier" reputation. Just before sunset the street becomes busy with many people making their way to the area, making the street noisy from people's chatter. [3][5]. Known Rundle Street Venues
TraditionsIf patrons in a venue get into a fight and are ejected by security, it's local unwritten tradition that they all go to the next bar for a round of drinks.[5]
