Backstory

Born in Edria City on Shadow's Edge, the first portion of Henning’s life was spent in a blissfully unaware state. It wasn’t until his teenage years that he really began to pay attention to what was going on around him. Despite being used to the different versions of shady things happening around him some part of Henning was always uncomfortable. It came as no surprise to anyone when he left as soon as possible.

Arriving on Ketar V, really the farthest distance from home he could imagine, and afford, at the time he quickly got a job in the shipyards. He worked for three years as one of the tens of thousands of cogs in the machine of starship construction. That was until he reported his supervisor to the local Marshals Service office after a week of that same uncomfortable feeling from earlier in his life. That led to his immediate supervisor and his supervisor as well as several other members of Henning’s team being arrested for funneling parts to pirate organizations.

As he followed parts of the case that involved him Henning found himself becoming more and more enthralled with the Marshals Service and eventually left his job at the shipyard to join up with them fueled by an intense desire to improve the quality of life for the people in his home region.

USS Veritas

While at first Henning was skeptical at first about the higher-ups desire to build connections between Starfleet and the Colonial Coalition by way of the Marshal Service, ultimately he decided to voluteer to the program in order to make sure that the ideas he held were put forward in the best possible way. It was not long before he was accepted to the program and assigned to the USS Veritas as Colonial Coalition Marshal Service Liaison.

Flashpoint

The first mission was an exciting one to be sure. Deputy Marshal Hext found himself using skills from his pre-service days working in the shipyards to try and help come up with alternative ways to destroy the Artemis. He also spent time working with Ensign G'var, Lieutenant Commander Alora DeVeau, and Commander Kelrod interviewing an Orion pirate about their attempts to salvage and raid the Artemis. He and G'var then escorted the female Orion to the brig where she eventually helped guide Geoffrey Teller and Tasnim Shandres through piloting her personal ship out of the self destructing Artemis.

Limbo

When the call to abandon ship came Henning ended up in a group of escape pods that were seperated from the "main camp". They ended up under the charge of Captain Felicia Nickson with the Marshal acting as a sort of "Head of Camp Security".

Dawn

Due to the strict and militaristic nature of Nickson's command of the camp there were many pockets of resistance to her leadership. While Henning followed orders he was not pleased with the way the Starfleet captain presented herself or dealt with the members of her team. There was not much time however given the torrential rains to the south and then the scouting party that came from the larger 'New Risa Resort and Spa' in an effort to reunite the crew.

Home

The highly damaged Veritas was pulled back for repairs and the crew dispersed for a well deserved bout of shore leave. For his part Henning returned to his duty as normal as a member of the CCMS starting first with filing a preliminary report about his time on the Veritas.
