The Groen system is just within the furthest edge of the Igloo Cluster from Deep Space 17. It is on the border of Constellationite space and close to both the Grendellai and the Gorn Hegemony. A Federation probe launched by DS17 discovered a pre-warp culture on the planet Groen Klei in 2383.
