In the genetic labs on Romulus a hybrid was developed to enhance telepathic and psionic skills by merging DNA from both Romulan and Betazoid hosts. These hybrids were designed for combat, infiltration and an extended life span, however due to a lack of support within the Romulan Senate the project was terminated. The hybrids were to be terminated as well, but because of their heightened abilities they were aware of the intent to terminate them and a battle ensued and a few managed to escape, to whereabouts unknown...
