This is the list of systems and planets of the Borderlands. This list is incomplete; you can help by adding missing items.

Cytarix system

Uninhabited and unimportant, the system is most notable for the Sphere Consciousness taking refugee in the fifth planet until driven out by USS Excalibur-A.

Demes system

The second planet is home to the Demesians, a pre-warp civilization that had experienced illegal first contact by a rogue Starfleet admiral. Much of the cultural contamination was removed by USS Excalibur-A.

Meranuge system

Main article: Meranuge system

The system is controlled by the Da'al, an independent warp-capable species. The Da'al homeworld is located on Meranuge IV, but they have colonies on other planets and outside the system as well. The Da'al tend to be isolationalist, however they have occasionally accepted help from Starfleet ships.

Rathos system

See: Sins of the Past (Gemini)

Rathos Prime is the homeworld of Rathosians, an independent warp-capable species. The Rathosians have traded with the Federation and accepted help from USS Gemini during a deadly plague.

Tilanna system

Formerly a Thama colony, the planet of Aspiration was exchanged to the Nascaik, who mine vital minerals for gene theraphy there.

Turkana system

The fourth planet has a failed human colony, where competing factions fought a civil war, resulting in anarchy and the destruction of the constructions on the surface. The planet has since become a hub for smugglers.

Ura Neteos system

Located near the Celendi Trade Route passing the Celendi Nebula, the third planet is inhabited by a pre-warp civilization.

Verex system

The third planet used to have a slave trade station of the Orion Syndicate until it was abandoned in the 23rd century.

Vionus system

See: The Ties that Bind (Resolution)

The ownership of system and the fourth planet in particular have been contested by the Nascaik and the Thama. Like Aspiration, the Nascaik mine vital minerals for gene theraphy there.
