Uniforms
Starfleet officers aboard Astraeus wear uniforms displaying the color of their division:
- Red: Command Division - CO, XO, Intelligence, Diplomacy, Helm
- Gold: Operations Division - Ops, Engineering, Security/Tactical
- Blue: Sciences Division - Science, Medical, Counseling
The combadge incorporates Starfleet's current insignia introduced in 2390. In 2395, a new version of the standard duty uniform was introduced. Both versions are authorized for use aboard Montreal, and indeed many officers alternate between versions or even combine accessories such as the previous uniform's jacket with the newer duty uniform's tunic.

Born to a scientist mother and a Starfleet father who later disappeared during the Battle of Wolf 359, Mei'konda grew up with stories of his father's heroism and worked hard to make it into Starfleet. He became an ambitious young officer who rose quickly through the ranks, becoming a department head on a large starship by the age of twenty-five. Mei'konda is completely devoted to Starfleet's ideals of peace and exploration, though he can be a little too rigid in his interpretation of regulations. His occasional lack of flexibility has been overlooked by more liberal commanding officers in the past due to his work ethic and intellect.

An expert in her field, Lael graduated from the Daystrom Institute of Technology with a Doctorate of Engineering, Biomechanical specialization. She spent the early part of her career in equal parts as both a Helm officer and an Engineer, serving aboard the Veritas for a year before being offered the Chief Engineer position. After three months in the position, she was given orders to join Commander Mei'konda aboard the Montreal as his first officer. A brief of her dissertation on spinal injury, genetronics and nanotechnology was recently published in the Starfleet Medical Journal. In her spare time, she enjoys active pursuits and is a Jiu-Jitsu coral belt. She also practices Mukhol, an Al-Leyan martial art.

Tiria Hamasaki was born in the Shoals, and left them to see the galaxy. Granted, she didn't see much as an investigator for Federation Security, and eventually chose to join Starfleet. Then.. her first posting was back in the Shoals. It seemed appropriate to her, as her luck has often been topsy-turvy like that. Still, Tiria is a cheerful woman who spends her spare time dancing and reenacting detective stories, in between her duties and keeping up to date with hand held qualifications. After all, someone has to help the inner worlders out here in the Shoals, and it might as well be her.

Groznin Smith is a 23 year old 3/4 Human 1/4 Denobulan Hybrid who grew up mostly on star ships and stations, most notably his teenage years on Deep Space Nine. It was there met the members of the House of Upex which led to his eventual adoption of Jang, Son of Upex. He has a passion for old earth pop culture and a love of the Earth spot football (soccer).

Shin is an outspoken and somewhat grossly overconfident person but in times of crisis has proven himself to be a flexible and trustworthy officer. He served on the USS Wyoming for three years where he got his first promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. Not long into serving as an LTJG he was offered a position as a Security/Tactical officer on board the USS Montreal, which was assigned to a very unique area of space known as the Shoals. With a natural inclination to explore and a fascination with new discoveries he quickly agreed to the new assignment, hoping it would lead him to great adventures.

Marcus Wrader was born on Roma to a Terran father and member of Starfleet and a Magna Roman mother of aristocratic background. In rebellion against the protocols and cloying influence of his mother and enabled by his father's frequent, lengthy absences, Marcus explored the streets and joined a street gang that indulged in gladiatorial contests. He continued in this group until his mid-teens, earning scars and notoriety, until a chance encounter persuaded him to enter a preparatory school for the Academy. Graduating in the middle of his class due to his previously neglected studies, Marcus is known for primarily for his taciturn nature and formal speech.

Melody Delri’ise was born into the lively atmosphere of New York to an Argelian mother and a Kerelian father, taking on a role as an aspiring thespian from a young age. As Melody grew older she began to see that there was so much more beyond the planet of her birth, she would look up at the stars and dream of the seemingly infinite realm of possibilities that awaited her. The moment Melody was old enough, she began studying at Starfleet academy, showing prowess through her natural analytical mind in fields such as stellar cartography and tactical studies. Melody found her tactical studies in particular to be one which she favoured far more than stellar phenomenon. However, even after graduating she has yet to finally hone her skills. She shows a level of mastery, yet with a lack of method to her madness.

Human Male, 33 years old. Grew up on his fathers cargo ship, the SS Valiant. Unfortunately, his Father died when Hawkes was 19 years old, leaving him to captain the Valiant. His mother had also died a few years earlier.
During his 10 years captaining the Valiant, he had encountered numerous situations, ranging from distress calls turning out to be a hoax to steal their cargo, to low level diplomatic missions (or that’s at least the way he liked to think about it), by achieving peace between other traders ready to wage war. Because of all his experiences, he developed a simple philosophy of ‘In the end, why not just be kind’. He always believes in second chances and helping anyone in need.
After years of bizarre interactions and missions, he decided to retire his captaincy and turn his father’s freighting business to his first officer and applied for the Academy.

Due to his sister being abducted by the Borg at an early age, German Galven has taken upon himself before attending the Academy to figure out anything he could do to get her back. His mother is a Quantum Physicist who took German to her science lab and he quickly picked up on it. Through science and willpower German dedicates himself to his work proficiently. He graduated with three majors; Quantum Mechanics, Temporal Mechanics, and Xenobiology. He served on the USS Veritas before being transferred to the USS Montreal under the command of Commander Mei'konda.

Born on Vulcan in 2343, Stennin was interested in science from a young age. Learning from his father, a renown Quantum Physicist, he became an able analyst at the Vulcan Science Academy 2361, serving there for nearly 27 years. In 2388, he applied for a job in Starfleet, in the Science division. He mayored in two fields: Chemistry and Microbiology. He also took a minor in elementary physics . Stennin was raised in the Vulcan ways by his parents and his uncle, and is a master in Vulcan logicism. He is a social person, and has even been noticed by the Tellarite for his amble debating skills. He was transferred to the USS Montreal after graduating from Academy in 2396.

Born on the USS Progrediamur, a Starfleet Science vessel, Solasta was born to a Terran Mother and a Denobulan father. With this combination, life was never dull nor lonely. Growing up on the ship that her parents worked on along with her siblings, provided ample opportunities for Solasta to learn as much as she could through the work that her parents did and what her teachers were able to teach her. With Denobulan family dynamics at the forefront, Solasta and her siblings were provided with many opportunities to travel off ship to various planets of her Co-mothers and explore different regions of space. This began to fuel her interests in plants and cultures of different planets, and lead to her entering Starfleet. Solasta may appear to be a bit scatterbrain at times, but give her the opportunity to pull pranks, she'll be the one you'll warm up to quickly.

Solok was born on Vulcan and educated in accord with Vulcan ideals, but, as the son of a Vulcan diplomat, his childhood was spent between his home planet and Earth. A graduate of the Vulcan Science Academy and the Vulcan Medical Institute, he was commissioned as a Medical Officer and Healer in the Vulcan Diplomatic Corps, only to resign his commission and join Starfleet after nearly 30 years of diplomatic service. Since that time, Solok has served in Medical, Science, and Operations aboard various vessels in the fleet, although his primary expertise is in pathology, immunology, and xenovirology. He is a Master of the Vulcan mental disciplines, and a Kolinahr disciple.

Sheila Bailey

Sheila Bailey grew up on the Elaysian home world of Elaysia II and always knew she would one day take the slightly risky step of leaving. Never once however did she ask for unnecessary help; she had to be able to do things for herself if she wanted to become a successful Starfleet Doctor. During the academy she studied both medicine and engineering. Overall Sheila Bailey is a confident woman ready to defend the crew she works with. And despite the use of an exoskeleton and crutches she is more than capable of doing any task sent her way. Throw in a little humor and your in for a good time.
