Born to Captain Christopher Wilmer (applied sciences Stafleet Command) and Cassie Templeton-Wilmer (Lt. Cmdr. Starfleet Research and development) Nate Wilmer is a common "Starfleet Brat." Having no brothers or sisters, Nate grew up in an isolated environment. His first friend was a holographic tanuki named: Howard. Since his parents were often away, Nate had a tendency to find himself getting into trouble. Though not in trouble with the law, he did have a way of finding himself in places he should not be. He quickly applied to Starfleet Academy at age 16, but did not have sufficient mathematics scores to become an officer at that time. Instead, he became an enlisted non-commissioned crewman. Upon graduation, he was posted to Jupiter Station  and served there for nearly 20 years as its Jovian Run shuttle pilot. Despite his age, his commanding officer encouraged him to return to the Academy and take officers extension courses. In 2387 Nate did so, and in July 2391, graduated with the rank of Ensign.

He served briefly aboard the USS Excalibur give a junior position in intelligence. After that ship was decommissioned, he was transferred to the USS Apollo-A. During the mission to Petranaria Prime, Nate was given the task of defending the position of team while they deactivated a beaming jammer. During the course of that duty, Nate was forced to accidentally kill an oncoming attacker. The experience changed him slightly and his demeanor slightly sobered. Shortly thereafter, he earned a duty post change to become chief helm/conn operator; a position he'd longed for since his first days in the academy.

Lieutenant Commander '''Nathaniel Wilmer''' was an officer within [[Starfleet]]. He was born on stardate 235502.21, and is father to [[Kael Wilmer]]. Wilmer is also the owner and civilian commander of the {{USS|Longshot}} FRC-1017, a Peregrine class starship.
As an Ensign, Wilmer served aboard the {{USS|Excalibur|A}} as an intelligence officer between stardates 239107.15 and 239109.06 before transferring to the {{USS|Apollo|A}}.
As the Apollo's acting executive officer, Wilmer [[Prison Break (Apollo-A)|led an away team]] of four crewmembers to Saporra VII  to find criminals Jonathan Flint and VeeVee.
On stardate 239205.28, he begun service as the {{USS|Constitution|B}}'s executive officer, and would continue until stardate 239208.15. On stardate 239305.08, Wilmer would return to the ''Constitution''-B and serve as the ship's helm, communications and operations officer, where he would work and become friends with [[Necessity James]].
On stardate 239307.15, he transferred and served as a mission specialist aboard the {{USS|Darwin|A}}, arriving with his daughter Kael. He would share a fleeting romantic relationship with [[Emery Rhyn]], but transferred away on stardate 239310.10 to the {{USS|Blackwell}}, effectively ending their relationship.


In late 2394, Wilmer became injured in the line of duty aboard the {{USS|Blackwell}}, and is treated by [[Anath G'Renn]]. Later, Wilmer [[Open Your Mind and Say Ahhh! (Andaris Task Force)|prepared for his wedding]] with [[Charlotte Farnsworth]], to be officiated by Admiral [[Renos]].

Nate and Nessa dated for about nine months, when they were part of the mirror universe experiment back at Starfleet Intel. Their romance was passionate and intense, but ultimately ended in a strong, trusting friendship for both parties. Since both Nate and Nessa were damaged goods, they found healing and trust in one another.

The biological daughter of Lt. Cmdr. Nathaniel Wilmer and Lieutenant Leena Marrin. Nate did not even realize he had a child until she showed up on the USS Apollo-A, after the disappearance of Kael's mother. When Lt. Marrin was legally declared dead, it became Nate's responsibility to raise Kael. Since that time, the two have grown close. Kale has since joined Starfleet Academy, earning her first posting aboard the USS Ares.

Personal Information

Lieutenant Commander Nathaniel Wilmer was an officer within Starfleet. He was born on stardate 235502.21, and is father to Kael Wilmer. Wilmer is also the owner and civilian commander of the USS Longshot FRC-1017, a Peregrine class starship.

As an Ensign, Wilmer served aboard the USS Excalibur-A as an intelligence officer between stardates 239107.15 and 239109.06 before transferring to the USS Apollo-A.

As the Apollo's acting executive officer, Wilmer led an away team of four crewmembers to Saporra VII to find criminals Jonathan Flint and VeeVee.

On stardate 239205.28, he begun service as the USS Constitution-B's executive officer, and would continue until stardate 239208.15. On stardate 239305.08, Wilmer would return to the Constitution-B and serve as the ship's helm, communications and operations officer, where he would work and become friends with Necessity James.

On stardate 239307.15, he transferred and served as a mission specialist aboard the USS Darwin-A, arriving with his daughter Kael. He would share a fleeting romantic relationship with Emery Rhyn, but transferred away on stardate 239310.10 to the USS Blackwell, effectively ending their relationship.

In late 2394, Wilmer became injured in the line of duty aboard the USS Blackwell, and is treated by Anath G'Renn. Later, Wilmer prepared for his wedding with Charlotte Farnsworth, to be officiated by Admiral Renos.

In November 2394, Wilmer returned to Starfleet Academy, this time as an academy flight instructor.
