Hunter was born in Chiswick in England on Earth but grew up on the streets of Hong Kong as his father was, what might be called, a wheeler-dealer. He studied Karate from the age of 6 but at the age of eleven moved to the study of aikido. He was home-schooled his entire life and when at the age of sixteen his older brother died he decided to complete his brother's dream of joining Starfleet. He was a former member of Starfleet with the rank of Ensign, served aboard the USS Triumphant as Tactical Officer. He left Starfleet to pursue a career in the private sector, serving in various capacities as a security consultant. Convinced by a former Admiral to rejoin Starfleet he has done so and now looks to open a `new' chapter in his life.
