Appearance
Heath is a well-built man, athletic and agile. He has dark brown eyes and a very soft voice, a compliment to his singing voice. He has short dark hair that is usually in a mussed style, a bed hairstyle that suits him just fine. Due to Kerelian lineage, he is a handsome young man with a smile and voice that can put someone at ease immediately. His fingers are long and flexible; fingernails cropped short for easier work. His legs and full body is muscular, just nice enough get through physicals and play sports with ease. His 6'2" frame and build is the subject of a tiresome worth ethic and extensive workout that he has to keep in tune with. He is broad shoulder and very slender, muscular without being rock solid.
Personality
Heath comes to grips more frequently and thoroughly with himself and his environment than do most people. His years spent in education have taught him patience and the ability to think through the storm of thoughts. He detests superficiality; he'd rather be alone than have to suffer through small talk. But his relationships with his friends are very strong, which gives him the inner tranquility and harmony that he requires to do his work successfully and function to his full potential. He doesn't mind being alone for extended periods of time and he rarely becomes bored. He does have a goofy personality, and enjoys a joke whether he is the butt of it or simply an observer. His accent is mildly Irish with slight hints of the Kerelian slipping in now and then.
Biography
- Heath was born on Starbase 67 to civilian parents, Kerelian musicians and bar owners Kyle and Elle West. He was the second child to be born and developed a strong aptitude for music early on. Being a very creative child, his parents involved him in as much music as possible but his interest while on his music was diverted to engineering as well. He enjoyed watching the Engineers of the Starbase when they'd let him down to have a look and decided that it was Starfleet he wanted to get involved in.
- When his parents moved him and his sister to the USS Gallipolis, he grew up reading and finding out about taking the course at Starfleet and joining the Federation. At the age of sixteen, he applied and with recommendation from the USS Gallipolis Captain, he gained entry into the Fleet to continue his studies in the field of Engineering. Heath is a loving soul who likes composing and playing music as much as possible. It is his favorite past time and reminds him a lot of home. While he still enjoys being surrounded by people, he likes spending time on his own to reflect on himself and practice his clarinet whenever possible. He grew up surrounded by different races and talking to different races, gaining friends around the quadrant, even those on passing ships. He likes to talk and make friends early on and has a fondness for Kriosian food.
