Considering the pivotal location, StarBase 118's history is considerably short, due mostly to it's placement on the frontier of Federation space.
Important dates
- 2280 - Starfleet acknowledges the need for a manned presence at the critical juncture between the Federation, Klingon Empire, and Romulan Star Empire. Planning and tactical requirements are outlined for a new Trojan-class station.
- 2301 - Construction begins.
- 2321 - Founded.
- 2346 - Construction of new base begins
- 2375 - Base destroyed by Kalendra
