2007 AWARD CEREMONIES
- SB118 DUTY POST, SPECIAL, AND STAFF AWARDS CEREMONY Presented by Rear Admiral Jessa Anassasi
- GENERAL AWARDS CEREMONY Presented by Captain T'Pen
T'Pen: STARFLEET takes time out of its busy schedule to contact members of its corps to evaluate the accomplishments of fellow crewmen. This year is no execption. It is a honor and a priviledge to recognize members of the CHALLENGER crew for their hard work and dedication to the ship, SB118 and STARFLEET as a whole. Please come forwards when I call your name.
::She took the black onix box from under her arm and placed it on the table. With a gold key she had stored in her pocket, she opened the latch, thus opening the lid. Inside, plush burgandy velvet complemented the black surface and sides.::
T'Pen: Lt.jg Dall. You have proven, during your time with us that you can come up with some pretty ingenious ideas for twarting our foes. For your service, I present you with The Scotty Cross.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Dall's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: Lt. Reid. Your real life physical condition has kept you from the fight on many occasions, but you've persevered to fight on another day. For your service, I present you with The Xalor Clan Xifilis Award.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Reid's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: Marine Captain West. This year you have been an incredible asset to the CHALLENGER. You've helped us reach out to new races and developed yourself into a fine officer through your personal adventures. For your service I present you with The Nebula Bar and The B-Plot Award.
::T'Pen pinned the medals upon West's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: LT. Colonel deMarc. What would a ship be
without those who work behind the scenes and create
plots that boggle the heck out of Captain and Crew.
For your service, I present you with the The Nellix
Award and the Kalendra Award.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon deMarc's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: LT. Cmdr Turner. This year we've seen our ship's website and wiki thrive because of the expert talents you've brought forth. We've also seen you work tirelessly as a chearleader, boosting the moral of the Captain and Crew. For your service, I present you with The Merria Medallion and The Silver Palm.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Turner's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: Ens. Aguinaldo. You've been a member of the CHALLENGER crew for a very short time, but in that short span, you've come to be a strong member of this crew and we welcome you. For your service, I present you with the TOSMA I (The Order of StarFleet Merit and Achievement First Class).
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Aguinaldo's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: Lt.jg Jaxx. Your membership with the crew of the CHALLENGER has been very short as well, though a bit longer than Ensign Aguinaldo. You proved yourself worthy to wear the pips of a LTjg through two missions, one of which almost found you and your fellow crewmembers dead or dieing. You are a strong advocate for the well being of the crew. For your service, I present you with The Sheathed Sword.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Jaxx's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: Lt. Barnes. As a Tactical Officer aboard a Warship, your job is to stay at your post no matter what is transpiring around you. Through the last couple of missions, you've been repeatedly attacked by foe as well as friend and stayed at your post through it all. For your service, I present you with The Purple Star.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Barnes' chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: Dr. Daniza. Sickbay isn't an easy place to be. Sometimes your services are required on a very frequent basis. Othertimes, you may feel like you aren't in the mix at all. But you, Dr. have been a very strong simmer, using your creative ideas to bring a little used portion of the ship to light in all kinds of situations. For your service, I present you with The Barclay Bead.
::T'Pen pinned the medal upon Danzia's chest as she spoke::
T'Pen: ::Closing the box:: I wish I could give an award to each of you, whether you received one of these General awards or not. We aren't always recognized the way we think we should be. But there are awards out there that don't come with a piece of metal and a plaque of acknowledgement. They are the kind of awards that come from within our own hearts and minds. They can never been taken away.
This year we've struggled. We fought tooth and nail to get to the top and we couldn't be stopped. We posted record numbers in every catagory set before us. We've met the CHALLENGE and carried on. We'll continue to stive forward in the coming year.
