• Uniform Variation: Freck has taken to wearing his uniform with his sleeves rolled up to just above the elbow.
• Off-Duty Clothing: Freck prefers a look that is simultaneously light, but layered. During warmer weather, Freck prefers wearing a simple shirt underneath a vest or open long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, in addition to short shorts and light-weight boots (if for no other reason than that he likes the way his legs look). In colder weather, the sleeves get rolled down or replaced entirely with an open jacket, the shorts are replaced by sensible pants, and the boots get sturdier and can go as high as just below his knees. When running for exercise, he wears his PT shirt and short shorts, but has also taken to wearing athletic "barefoot" shoes.

	Background

Freck was born to Tarik and Morra in 2374 on the Ferengi colony of Irtok. One year later, during the social reforms taking place on Ferenginar and in Ferengi society as a whole, Morra became one of the first Ferengi women to divorce her husband, doing so with Tarik. Devastated and in financial straits, Tarik leaned on his brother, Rutano, for support, and the two of them pooled their resources together to purchase a Ferengi runabout for their new business enterprise: charting and selling star charts.

Tarik and Rutano took Freck with them on the shuttle, raising him as they toured the stars, as well as giving him a first-hand look at how his people did business. As he grew older, however, potential customers weren't as charmed by his cute appearance, and he had to rely more on the same tactics as his father and uncle. It helped that Freck grew more interested in the actual stars and astronomical phenomena they were scanning and mapping more than interfacing with strangers, but he still felt stifled by his family's expectations for him, and so, after a couple of years passed since he became an adult, Freck reached out to one of the Starfleet captains they had regular encounters with, requesting a sponsorship to the Academy as more and more Ferengi were doing in the decades since the Dominion War.

Freck was worried when he'd told his family what he'd done, but was surprised when Tarik and Rutano both were more than supportive of his bid to join Starfleet, helping him with every step of the process, from studying for the entrance exams to dropping him off at the Academy itself with tearful farewells.

Lieutenant Commander Tomas Falt, Denali Station Executive Officer In the relatively short time that Freck has been on the station, LtCmdr Falt has been an invaluable mentor. Being his direct report, Freck has relied heavily on him for advice and support, while he's used Freck to his strengths, which Freck has noticed and is grateful for. Freck is starting to see Denali as his home, and LtCmdr Falt is a massive reason why.
Lieutenant Commander Dekas, Denali Station Chief Engineering Officer With his bright, vibrant plumage, his equally vibrant personality, his beautiful singing, and constant endearing friendship, LtCmdr Dekas has, in a word, captivated Freck, and thankfully, a great friendship has started between the two, all the way from spending time to playing pranks and visiting family. In truth, that captivation and friendship has led way to infatuation, founded on an attraction that was likely building from the start, but Freck has yet to build up the courage to have a discussion with Dekas just yet.
Fleet Captain Oddas Aria, Denali Station Commanding Officer Freck doesn't know much about his Commanding Officer, but what he has seen is that she's confident, strong, and more than a little intimidating. Frankly, Freck is in awe of her brilliant mind. There's no doubt that the station couldn't be in more capable hands.
Lieutenant Garev, Denali Station Medical Officer After making a brilliant first impression where he couldn't remember the Lieutenant's name, Freck has thankfully not had the opportunity to make a fool of himself in front of the surly and sarcastic Vulcan again.
Lieutenant Kettick, Denali Station Engineering Officer Fascinated by insectoids as Freck is, it comes to no surprise that LT Kettick is yet another officer Freck would love to get to know better. It doesn't hurt that his sense of humor - intentional or otherwise - hits Freck precisely where it's at its most effective. He also appears to have the same appreciation for beauty that Freck has. The only issue is that he appears to communicate his mood and expressions far differently than most humanoids, but this is something Freck would love to learn and read properly, over time, rather than put him off despite his lack of skill in linguistics.
Lieutenant Commander Gogigobo Fairhug, Denali Station Chief Security Officer Even though they've known each other for a short time, Freck feels that he and the Bardeezan have hit it off quite well, seeing the beginnings of a close friendship. With time, Freck might see him similarly to an older brother. Or a third father-figure. And, as a member of a mostly hairless species, Freck will be the first to attest to the impressiveness of Fairhug's veritable mane.

Family
Tarik, Freck's Father Through a combination of several factors, including dealing with chronic ear infections, chronic depression, chronic gambling addiction, and chronic mediocre business senses, Tarik grew to be a strict father for Freck, trying to instill in Freck the business sense to not only ensure his progeny does better in life and after than he, but also as a last ditch effort to bring success to his middling business. As Freck grew older and his distaste for the Ferengi way of doing business started to become unavoidable, Tarik's relationship with his family grew more strained and his illnesses and vices worsened until his brother and son finally staging something like an intervention. Thankfully, by the time Freck revealed to his family that he wanted to enlist in Starfleet, even Tarik agreed it was the best move for his son and their family (and their family's business).
Rutano, Tarik's Brother/Freck's Uncle As much a entrepreneur as his brother and any good Ferengi, Rutano is still much more progressive than his brother, if only due to his staunch belief that family is the one thing that should come before profit. Always. His views on the feminist movement on Ferenginar are not as progressive, however, but he's learned to keep his mouth shut about that around his nephew. Despite that, being the more emotionally available of his parental figures, Freck is admittedly much closer to his uncle than his father, confiding in him and usually siding with him during family quarrels. It was Rutano's influence that allowed him to find areas outside of customer relations to help the business and is probably a large part of why his family accepted his desire to enlist.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Ashley Yael, Denali Station Counselor An unfortunate incident when first meeting LtJG Yael kept Freck from speaking to him further, for fear of embarrasing himself further, but those fears were quelled when they were able to have their first session together. Freck has also realized he's attracted to Ashley Yael much at the same time he'd realized it with LtCmdr Dekas, but with Yael on leave, he never had the chance to move further than that realization.
Lieutenant Commander T'Lea, Denali Station Historian & Archaeological Specialist Freck didn't get much of a chance to know LtCmdr T'Lea beyond working together very briefly, so Freck knows she's smart and is just as easily excitable as she is aloof.
Lieutenant Commander Kendrick, Denali Station Chief Security/Tactical Officer Another highly capable officer, there's a large part of Freck that admired LtCmdr Kendrick, but they didn't get to know each other very well to know if they'd actually be able to be friends instead of just merely coworkers.

	Mission Log

• Shore Leave 01 - 239911-239912 - Freck arrives on Denali Station and gets settled in, meeting crew and assisting in a routine survey mission which gets interrupted by a pirate attack.
• Annihilation Approaches - 240001 - During another attempt at a routine survey mission, the pirates launch a deadly asteroid barrage. Freck works on the USS Eagle to deflect and defuse the different asteroids, to different degrees of success.
• Shore Leave 02 - 240003-240005 - Freck spends time working with Marine Captain Fairhug and LTJG Kettick alongside the USS Grace Hopper to clean up the aftermath of the pirate's asteroid attack. He also got in a counseling session with Lt. Yael and took a relaxing vacation with LtCmdr Dekas to his homeworld of Aurelia.
