Delicious, deadly Gold Dew

Mission I: "Never Mix Your Drinks"

StarBase 118 Ops gets a call to investigate the explosion and loss of the Federation freighter SS Annabelle's Lament. What starts out as a favor to another command officer turns into a big intrigue as clues are uncovered that make it clear the freighter suffered more than simple engine failure...

Mission II: "Dish Served Cold"

With Captain Leo Handley-Page still onboard the roster but called away to tend to the monstrous transformations that afflicted his sister and best friends, Commander Sal Taybrim stepped up to Starfleet's call when the Cheyenne class USS Stormcrow went missing.

The Stormcrow's Captain Haz Arrhimen swore revenge against the Romulans after finding out that Romulan terrorists attacked the Federation freighter SS Annabelle's Lament - destroying the vessel and killing all 102 passengers and crew onboard including Arrhimen's brother. Haz Arrhimen is headed to the Valdis system, a Romulan colony near the border of Federation space. He's refusing to answer hails and looks intent on committing an act of war.

Acting Captain Sal Taybrim launches the USS Albion with new crewmates Lieutenant Theo Whittaker and Lieutenant Tatash joining the Ops crew. The Albion speeds towards the Valdis colony so they can arrive before the Stormcrow and hopefully talk sense into Arrhimen. However on the way there Arrhimen makes his intentions clear when he attacks the fast frigate USS Tribal, leaving her dead in the water for standing in his way. The Albion launches several shuttlecraft with a marine detail, medical rescue team and security personnel for aid.

The Albion reached the Valdis colony shortly before the Stormcrow, but they were ambushed in their search when the Stormcrow hit them under cover of the nearby Valdis nebula. The two ships engaged in a vicious firefight which led to the crippling of the Stormcrow, and major damage to the Albion. The majority of the Stormcrow's skeleton crew launched on life boats which were intercepted by the Albion crew, but over a dozen crew were left onboard. The Albion sent a search and rescue party to the Stormcrow, to retrieve injured crew and retrieve information from the Stormcrows computer banks before the ship's life support completely failed; but they found that the Romulans were equally interested in plundering the Stormcrow as a Romulan warbird decloaked, demanding salvage and Haz Arrhimen be delivered to them.

Security teams on the Albion were successful in rescuing the rest of the survivors, but when they tried to access the computer core they set off a trap that Captain Arrhimen set in the core system, trigging a self destruct. In the end the Albion only gleaned a small amount of what secrets Arrhimen may have held. Onboard the Albion the survivors were kept in the brig but Haz Arrhimen demanded to speak to the Albion's Commanding officer. When Taybrim agreed to meet with him, Arrhimen uncovered that he wasn't going to attack the Valdis colony with phasers and torpedos; but with a biochemical agent that was already released on the planet. In his madness, Arrhimen said that the entire crew of the Albion would be infected and die as well; but the Albion's medical officers quickly disproved this finding that his bioweapon was only effective against copper blooded species in general and Romulans in particular.

Unfortunately allowing Arrhimen out of a secured brig environment combined with the damage the Albion had sustained left him open to be scanned and transported away. Seconds after he beamed out the Romulan warbird cloaked and left the area. It was unclear whether Arrhimen was captured by the Romulans or had some plan up his sleeves to flee them; though the official report leans towards the former.

The rest of Arrhimen's crew were secured; his chief science officer among them. She agreed to give over the genetic and biochemical sequences of the bio weapon in exchange for clemency. The Albion was able to synthesize an antidote to the weapon used against the Valdis colony and offered both the antidote and the formula for synthesizing more to the planetary governor; thus preventing an act of war.

The Albion met up with the USS Tribal, retrieved all teams and offered full medical aid to all Starfleet officers and in turn both ships were escorted back to SB118 by the USS Avalon.

Mission III: "Tribbles and Strife"

In late 2392 it was announced that StarBase 118 would be the location for the Tribble Fanciers Association Annual Convention 2393. Due to the very popular nature of tribbles and the high quantity of VIPs attending the conference, Commander Taybrim asked his senior staff to attend the conventions' opening gala as a show of support. The crew arrived dress in their formal uniforms and enjoyed a gourmet dinner while rubbing elbows with federation politicians, Starfleet officers and tribble fanciers from across the galaxy.

However disaster struck when the key note speaker, Anseidora Dorfmann, started acting strangely and collapsed on stage in the middle of her speech. Immediately afterwards an alarm rang out: there were unsterilized tribbles loose on the station and even worse! They were poisonous!

The crew immediately mobilized to evacuate the convention center and contain the tribbles. Newly arrived Dr. Liani and Dr. Ezo started treating patients stricken by these weaponized tribbles. Dr. Liani also synthesized a Klingon pheremone spray to contain the tribbles, which was employed by Marine Captain Tatash and the Paladins strike force. Meanwhile Commander Taybrim, Lieutenant Peters, and Lt Commander Falcon headed to the Ops hub along with newly transferred Lieutenant Flynn to start tribble continent in coordination with the marine corps.

Security started to investigate who may have planted and created the weaponized tribbles and tracked clues back to the most likely suspect: rival tribble breeder Boris Malinov. Malinov escaped from the space station, but Security continue to track him. Meanwhile the tribbles were rounded up into a cargo bay, and medical teams administered a de-weaponization treatment which had the side effect of rendering the tribbles hairless.

Dr. Liani tattooed the hairless tribbles and sold them as novelties at the convention. Afterwards the station finished tribble clean up, and enjoyed a party thrown by Lt Commander Theo Whittaker, and a promotions ceremony before they focused their efforts into tracking down Boris Malinov and finding out what organization he was connected to and why he created weaponized tribbles.

Following a short shore leave, SB118 Ops received word from the independent planet Tilanna V that their authorities found Boris Malinov murdered. Tilanna V is a border world, unclaimed by any particular authority. Commander Taybrim agreed to investigate and they prepared the USS Aegis for launch.

En route to Tilanna V the Aegis found that there was more than met the eye to the situation because once Starfleet involvement was made public on Tilanna, the criminal elements attacked and rioted on the Governor's offices and political institutions in the capitol city Anjunaar. It became clear that the criminals were holding the government hostage so the Aegis prepared a focused Marine SWAT team under the command of Major Tatash to break up the situation before deploying a mobile sickbay to lend aid to the injured.

Both the riots and Malinov's murder made it clear that Tilanna V was being held in the vicious grips a criminal organization calling itself "The Jenatris Confederation." The Jenatris Confederation is responsible for spreading a dangerous street drug called All Time High (ATH) throughout Tilanna. Many of the rioters were on the drug when they attacked the capitol, and when treated many did not remember what happened in the attacks.

With the government hostage situation cleared the Aegis sent down several teams: A medical team to help treat those addicted to ATH - liaising with the Aegis to find a cure for the deadly drug; an intel team to investigate Malinov's murder and a security team led by Lt Commander Theo Whittaker investigating the Jenatris Confederation. The intel team found that Malinov was murdered by someone on the police force and that there was terrible corruption in the Anjunaar government and law enforcement. Whittaker's team found that the head of the Jenatris confederation was a criminal named Janker who had connections to Nacien Rixx (the man who sold explosive to the Romulan terrorists that blew up the Annabelle's Lament) and back to a suspected criminal merchant who set up shop on SB118!

Meanwhile as the crew of the USS Aegis work to sift through information and put the pieces together, they are hailed by a Klingon Vor'cha class cruiser and find out that Al'Akir, governor of Tilanna V has petitioned the Klingon Empire for membership. Fortunately the communication between the Aegis and the Klingons is productive - the Federation was not looking to admit Tilanna, and both sides can benefit from sharing information about ATH and the Jenatris Confederation. The Aegis is able to forge an alliance with Ambassador Dempok of the Klingon Empire in the interest of eliminating the Jenatris Confederation (an organization which is looking more and more like the Orion Syndicate...)

On the planet Theo Whittaker's away team is attacked while uncovering the whereabouts of Janker, and the other teams run to his aid...
