To join UFOP: StarBase 118, you do not need to have a great knowledge of the Star Trek universe, or of the profession your character will be an expert in. e.g.: If you want your character to work in the medical field, you do not need to be an expert in medicine. However it adds depth to a character if you do know the main components of a Warp Drive, or if you know when its best to use a Neural Stimulator over an Alpha Wave Inducer.
To that end, we have provided a number of resources for both the experienced Trekkie (or Trekker), and the completely new-to-Trek officer. This area is constantly expanding, and we will continue to add more articles as often as we can. |
