In 2395, a new version of the standard duty uniform was introduced. He became an ambitious young officer who rose quickly through the ranks, becoming a department head on a large starship by the age of twenty-five. Mei'konda is completely devoted to Starfleet's ideals of peace and exploration, though he can be a little too rigid in his interpretation of regulations. His occasional lack of flexibility has been overlooked by more liberal commanding officers in the past due to his work ethic and intellect. Lt. Commander Lael Rosek-Skyfire Lael Rosek Rank: Lt. Commander Duty Post: First Officer Age/Species/Sex: 32-year-old Al-Leyan/Human female Birthplace: Cedar Springs, Michigian, Earth An expert in her field, Lael graduated from the Daystrom Institute of Technology with a Doctorate of Engineering, Biomechanical specialization. She spent the early part of her career in equal parts as both a Helm officer and an Engineer, serving aboard the Veritas for a year before being offered the Chief Engineer position. After three months in the position, she was given orders to join Commander Mei'konda aboard the Montreal as his first officer. A brief of her dissertation on spinal injury, genetronics and nanotechnology was recently published in the Starfleet Medical Journal. In her spare time, she enjoys active pursuits and is a Jiu-Jitsu coral belt. She also practices Mukhol, an Al-Leyan martial art. Lieutenant Tiria Hamasaki Tiria Hamasaki Rank: Lieutenant Duty Post: Chief Operations Officer Age/Species/Sex: 35-year-old Human Female Birthplace: Havley's Hope Tiria Hamasaki was born in the Shoals, and left them to see the galaxy. Granted, she didn't see much as an investigator for Federation Security, and eventually chose to join Starfleet. Then.. her first posting was back in the Shoals. It seemed appropriate to her, as her luck has often been topsy-turvy like that. Still, Tiria is a cheerful woman who spends her spare time dancing and reenacting detective stories, in between her duties and keeping up to date with hand held qualifications. After all, someone has to help the inner worlders out here in the Shoals, and it might as well be her. Lieutenant Commander Riley Delar Riley Delar Rank: Lieutenant Commander Duty Post: Mission Specialist Age/Species/Sex: 42-year-old Male Birthplace: Dahkur Province, Bajor Riley Delar was conscripted into the Bajoran militia at the age of 11. A veteran of the Dominion War and a two time Starfleet Academy washout, he managed a third attempt to successfully join Starfleet. He dual majored in intelligence and engineering with minors in HCO and navigation. He spent the early part of his career as a communications officer on Deep Space 17 and served briefly aboard the Montreal before transferring to the Astraeus. Commander Tal Tel-ar Tal Tel-ar Rank: Commander Duty Post: Strategic Operations Age/Species/Sex: 48-year-old Andorian Male Birthplace: Unknown Cmdr. Tal Tel-ar may be an Andorian but he is one with no family or clan connections to his people. In fact his name given to him by the Kethni Council on Andor following his rescue from a primitive pre-industrial world as a teen was Tal Tel-ar which translates as "Outcast, Renegade, One who has been Banished". No Andorian will have any reaction to him except negative. Given to Starfleet once the Andorian government had finished civilizing the barbarian he was warned to never set foot on Andor again. Since he graduated from the Academy he has been a member of Starfleet, always the outsider, almost more Vulcan than a Vulcan in some ways but capable of incredible acts of violence and strength. Nicknamed Big Blue by others he remains to this day a stoic, rock, normally unshaken by anything and willing to risk it all in the name of duty and honor. Lieutenant Kawakame Shin Kawakame Shin Rank: Lieutenant Duty Post: Chief of Security Age/Species/Sex: 33-year-old Human Male Birthplace: Koyoto, Japan, Earth Shin is an outspoken and somewhat grossly overconfident person but in times of crisis has proven himself to be a flexible and trustworthy officer. He served on the USS Wyoming for three years where he got his first promotion to Lieutenant Junior Grade. Not long into serving as an LTJG he was offered a position as a Security/Tactical officer on board the USS Montreal, which was assigned to a very unique area of space known as the Shoals. With a natural inclination to explore and a fascination with new discoveries he quickly agreed to the new assignment, hoping it would lead him to great adventures. Ensign Marcus Wrader Marcus Wrader Rank: Ensign Duty Post: Security Age/Species/Sex: -year-old Magna Roman Male Birthplace: 2370 Marcus Wrader was born on Roma to a Terran father and member of Starfleet and a Magna Roman mother of aristocratic background. In rebellion against the protocols and cloying influence of his mother and enabled by his father's frequent, lengthy absences, Marcus explored the streets and joined a street gang that indulged in gladiatorial contests. He continued in this group until his mid-teens, earning scars and notoriety, until a chance encounter persuaded him to enter a preparatory school for the Academy. Graduating in the middle of his class due to his previously neglected studies, Marcus is known for primarily for his taciturn nature and formal speech. Melody Delri’ise was born into the lively atmosphere of New York to an Argelian mother and a Kerelian father, taking on a role as an aspiring thespian from a young age. As Melody grew older she began to see that there was so much more beyond the planet of her birth, she would look up at the stars and dream of the seemingly infinite realm of possibilities that awaited her. The moment Melody was old enough, she began studying at Starfleet academy, showing prowess through her natural analytical mind in fields such as stellar cartography and tactical studies. Melody found her tactical studies in particular to be one which she favoured far more than stellar phenomenon. However, even after graduating she has yet to finally hone her skills. She shows a level of mastery, yet with a lack of method to her madness. Ensign Sotak Sotak Rank: Ensign Duty Post: Engineer Age/Species/Sex: 27-year-old Vulcan Female Birthplace: Khomi, Vulcan Sotak was born on the Vulcan province of Khomi before her family moved to the planet’s capital city of ShirKahr when she was 5 years of age. Once on ShirKahr, Sotak’s mother began teaching at the Vulcan Science Academy as part of the Academy’s Medical Center, and it was there that Sotak’s curiosity about science and alien species was awakened. By the time she came of age, she decided the best way to learn more about alien beings and to get a much better view of the universe was to join Starfleet. At the Academy, Sotak was fascinated by diversity in the galaxy, and tried to comprehend each species as best as she could. Sotak had a double major in science, with specializations on Linguistics and Xenology. Ensign James Wright James Wright Rank: Ensign Duty Post: Engineer Age/Species/Sex: 29-year-old Human Male Birthplace: Los Angeles, California, Earth As long as he could remember James was always fascinated by deep space. He always wanted to explore everything that was out there. His father who was the founder of a massive starship company expected great things from him. By the expectations of dad and his love for space, he joined the academy. Passing after a few struggles James was excited to finally go out and explore. He was always a big joker which got him into a bit of trouble in his academy years. Lieutenant Commander German Galven German Galven Rank: Lieutenant Commander Duty Post: Chief Science Officer Age/Species/Sex: 37-year-old Denobulan/Human Male Birthplace: Denobula Due to his sister being abducted by the Borg at an early age, German Galven has taken upon himself before attending the Academy to figure out anything he could do to get her back. His mother is a Quantum Physicist who took German to her science lab and he quickly picked up on it. Through science and willpower German dedicates himself to his work proficiently. He graduated with three majors; Quantum Mechanics, Temporal Mechanics, and Xenobiology. He served on the USS Veritas before being transferred to the USS Montreal under the command of Commander Mei'konda. Ensign Solasta Awatto Solasta Awatto Rank: Ensign Duty Post: Science Officer Age/Species/Sex: 30-year-old Denobulan / Human hybrid Female Birthplace: USS Progrediamur Born on the USS Progrediamur, a Starfleet Science vessel, Solasta was born to a Terran Mother and a Denobulan father. With this combination, life was never dull nor lonely. Growing up on the ship that her parents worked on along with her siblings, provided ample opportunities for Solasta to learn as much as she could through the work that her parents did and what her teachers were able to teach her. With Denobulan family dynamics at the forefront, Solasta and her siblings were provided with many opportunities to travel off ship to various planets of her Co-mothers and explore different regions of space. This began to fuel her interests in plants and cultures of different planets, and lead to her entering Starfleet. Solasta may appear to be a bit scatterbrain at times, but give her the opportunity to pull pranks, she'll be the one you'll warm up to quickly. Ensign Ev Hathur Ev Hathur Rank: Ensign Duty Post: Science Officer Age/Species/Sex: 28-year-old Bajoran Male Birthplace: Adur VI, Unincorporated Cardassia Born to terraformers working to rehabilitate Adur VI, Hathur was always expected to follow in their footsteps. Choosing instead to leave the planet and join Starfleet, Hathur is eager to not only prove himself, but to carve out a new life in the Federation. Lt. Commander Solok Solok Rank: Lt. Commander Duty Post: Chief Medical Officer Age/Species/Sex: 97-year-old Vulcan Male Birthplace: Vulcan Solok was born on Vulcan and educated in accord with Vulcan ideals, but, as the son of a Vulcan diplomat, his childhood was spent between his home planet and Earth. A graduate of the Vulcan Science Academy and the Vulcan Medical Institute, he was commissioned as a Medical Officer and Healer in the Vulcan Diplomatic Corps, only to resign his commission and join Starfleet after nearly 30 years of diplomatic service. Since that time, Solok has served in Medical, Science, and Operations aboard various vessels in the fleet, although his primary expertise is in pathology, immunology, and xenovirology. He is a Master of the Vulcan mental disciplines, and a Kolinahr disciple. Lieutenant Femi Cattan Femi Cattan Rank: Lieutenant Duty Post: Counselor / Medical Officer Age/Species/Sex: 30-year-old Human Female Birthplace: Thythis Valley, Betazed Femi was born in Egypt and she always dreamt about helping others in any way possible. After the academy, she started on the USS Za, an explorer ship and she loved it there. She was still an Ensign when she became the CMO. This ship is also where she met the love of her life, Lt. Commander Alexander Williams. It was difficult to leave without him, but she wanted to learn something new again. After the USS Za, she got transferred to the USS Athena where she stayed for a short period and worked as the ACMO. Lastly, she worked on the USS Atlantis as ACMO/Chief of Nursing for one year. She's a very kind, caring person but she can be strict sometimes. Her philosophy is: "caring is the essence of nursing" even if that means being strict. After being in sickbay for such a long time she was ready for something new. Recently she went back to Starfleet Academy to get her Doctors degree and her Psychiatry degree. REV SD 239608.08
