Starbase 118 is a Trojan-Class spacedock facility with a population total of 181,500 souls. 119,000 work in Starfleet and 62,500 are civilians including family members. A hub for visitors, this city in space has a maximum capacity of 440,000 The Starbase runs on a three shift system; Alpha (0800 to 1600 hours), Beta (1600 to 0000 hours) and Gamma (0000 to 0800 hours).
The following percentages indicate how many of the bases enlisted officers are positioned in each area of work. Areas of work include a large range of jobs, and do not restrict officers posted in that area to their respective hubs. (For example, not all engineering officers work in main engineering on the base.)

Large due to maintenance required on the base's infrastructure, as well as the well-being of incoming ships.
Science/Research: 20%
Security/Tactical: 28%
Largest so as to cover the necessary security of the huge flowing population of the base.

Starbase 118 Master Crew List
Command consists of the officers responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Starbase and its personal support vessels.
Fleet Operations primarily handles the routing of ships assigned to the StarBase 118 monitor fleet which are not within the immediate vicinity of the base. In addition, FLT-OPS also handles routing of other Starfleet vessels on their way to other locations within Sector 118 and beyond.
These officers deal with all of the communication from ships assigned to the StarBase 118 fleet, and all of the communications which pass through relays within the 118 sector.

Starfleet Diplomatic Corps: (SB-SDC)
The SDC's presence on Starbase 118 is not exclusively comprised of diplomats and their aides. The division maintains its own science and medical facilities, set aside for the use of foreign and Federation diplomats, and a security division, separate from base security and with the primary duty of protecting the Office's personnel and visiting dignitaries.
These officers primarily handle the allocation of resources for the Starbase. This may include computer resources, long range sensors, internal communications, etc. In addition, SB-OPS also coordinates all personnel scheduling.

Flight Control: (FLY-CON)
These highly trained officers coordinate the traffic of both Starfleet, non-Starfleet, and civilian vessels moving in and out of the immediate vicinity of the base. Through experience and training they have developed a good knowledge of species' cultures and language to ensure tensions are minimized.

Station Engineering: (SB-ENG)
These officers deal with the resourcing of internal power sources, maintaining computer functions, schedules of maintenance to all of the starbase's internal systems, etc.
Highly skilled and rigorously trained, these stationed Marine Officers are the top line in offense and defence. While tryig not to knock heads with the Tactical Duty Station, the Marines perform to the best standards of weapons capability and are the first line for an on-foot defence.
These officers oversee the health and general well-being of all inhabitants of the base, not generally including those officers housed on ships docked at the base. This office also coordinates with the head station counselor as well.
These officers oversee the Starbase Scientific Research Facilities and deal with any unusual phenomena or science requirments encountered on the Starbase. It also includes the Historical and Archaeological Archives department.
From the families of Starfleet personnel to civilian contractors and shopkeepers, Starbase 118 has a large civilian population that creates a vibrant and interesting culture aboard the station.
Personal NPC: is a character simmed by one player in addition to their primary character on this ship, and may only be simmed by that player.
NPC: a background character used to help the plot. Anyone can use them. As such many NPCs have minimum information you are all welcome to use to your own advantage in your sims.
