Lieutenant Skyleena Blake, otherwise known as "Sky", "Lee", "Leena" or just plain "Blake", is a Brekkian Betazoid hybrid, and is the Chief of Security aboard the USS Mercury.

She was previously a Security officer, then the Acting CoS, and then the Chief of Security aboard the USS Ronin, and before that a Security officer aboard the USS Challenger-A until it decommissioned for a much needed tune up. She was also a respected athlete on Brekka, and a student of Marloy, who is her mentor for all intents and purposes.

Her StarFleet professional record has deep dents and serious scratches due to insubordination and medical issues, but it appears that she is making an effort to set things straight.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personality

• Has a telepathy rating of T4 Long Range Uncontrollable.

• Very stern and very leader-like. She has the ability to snap at some of the simplest things.

• Although she can seem like she's a bully, she's actually quite the opposite. She takes a while to get to know because she has never managed to exercise her social skills. She has also had her fair share of problems . . . fair share might actually be an understatement.

• Always serious unless she is around friends and she is off duty. She isn't easy to get to know, because she never managed to exercise her social skills, but she is quite a beautiful woman and such a reliable friend.

• Hair Color: Blond
• Length of Hair: Recently cut. Neck length and wavy.
• Eye Color: Bright Green
• Birthmarks, Scars, Tattoos: Scar on her lower back from a dagger piercing her spinal cord.
• Build: Athletic and curved.
• Taste in clothing (Off Duty): Usually something that's out of the way, like slacks and a tanktop. She only wears dresses on "special occasions". And, for some reason, has gotten into the habit of wearing black, grey or red colors.
• Taste in clothing (On Duty): Has a taste in the long field jacket, but only wears it on away missions. Wears StarFleet uniform just like everyone else.
• Voice: Seritonian accent when speaking Brekkian Seritonian. Has somewhat of an American accent when speaking Earth English. Is in the middle range of an alto and a soprano.

• Note: Sky does not have an extra cartilage bridge on her nose as it seems that her Betazoid side has dominated most of her features.

Manner

• Habits: Sky has the unfortunate habit of back-chatting most of her superiors. Also tends to throw knifes at people while in her quarters when she's in a bad mood.
• Religion/Spiritual Devotion: Norssian
  • Believes in a Brekkian goddess called Noree, although, because she was hurt her whole life, she also believes that Noree doesn't hear her.

Hobbies and Pastimes

• Communicating:
  • Sky does continue to talk to her old roommate and best friend from the Academy, Renae Sullivan, as well has her younger brother, Rowan Sullivan.
  • Even though she won’t admit it, Sky actually does like to socialize rather than arguing with her commanding officer all day. She is actually a pretty reliable friend when you get to know her, even though trying to get to know her isn't that easy. Keep trying, and you'll get there.

• Holodeck/Outside:

  Blake and Carbo Stryker. Carbo is a hologram who gets into a lot of trouble constantly, although, he is a very smart man. He is apart of a program called Burnout Spys.
  • It's true, Sky spends most of her free time in the Holodeck training or continuing to be a athlete. This is one of the main things that calms her down when she's pretty angry.
  • Sky spent half of her life outside, so it's pretty hard for her to be away from it. This also makes her a perfect canidate to be a Security escort for an away team.
  • She does enjoy action holoprograms that take place in the 21st Century.

• Piloting:
  • She isn't certified: She taught herself, but that doesn't mean that she isn't a good pilot. Although Renae liked to fly fast, Sky would rather cruise. This also doesn't mean that she's a slow-poke; it means that if she's not in a particular hurry, she might just cruise around at impulse. NOTE: Half of the reason for this is because she gets headaches at around warp four and above.

• Swimming:
  • Something she has gotten into over the break she had during the transition between the Challenger and the Ronin. It helped a little with physiotherapy, and she has stuck with it ever since.

• Meditating:
  • After recent issues regarding her attitude and telepathy, she's found meditation easier than holding in stress and anger. If she is missing on her break, she would most likely be found in the highest Jefferies Tube of the ship.

• She's a Choco-holic:
  • Starts to have what seems like withdrawal symtoms if she goes without some for more than two weeks.
  • Is a sucker for Brekkian White Chocolate.

• Cats:
  • Sky has always - ever since a child - wanted a kitten or a cat, just so that she wasn't alone in her quarters or room. Sky seems to have a loving tendency for them.
  • She was introduced to cats by Marloy.

• Alcohol:
  • Vodka is a big hit with the Betazoid Brekkian hybrid whenever she's near a bar. Somehow, she prefers the vodka straight.
  • A Brekkian alcohol called "bosseek", which is a bronzy color, has been in with Sky before. The last time she drank the stuff, she couldn't remember what happened the same night - apparently she had gotten into a punch up with one of the other cadet-turned-Ensigns, but there wasn't so much as a mark on Sky to prove it.
  • Isn’t an addict.

Dislikes

• Her Name/Herself:
  • Because she was named after Noree's daughter Skyleena, she hates it when anyone uses her full name. She doesn't like it because of Skyleena's reputation - Skyleena, the daughter of Noree, was known as a con-woman, liar, killer and the daughter of a Demon (her father, Carmell). Skyleena was also cursed by Caleb so that she would never find love. She also doesn't want to become Skyleena, as Sky Blake and Skyleena look very similar.
  • The only thing that got Skyleena, daughter of Noree, back on her feet was her son Roanen, who was a miricle child and had no father. Sky believes that this would never happen to her due to her hybrid blood, and the science behind miricle children has not been discovered yet.

• Thunder and Lightning:
  • Due to the lack of rain on Brekka, Sky refuses to be anywhere near thunder and lightning. This could be because she is scared of them.
  • Whenever a Holodeck program makes thunder and lightning it's weather, Sky deliberately changes it.

• Bullies:
  • It's understandable that she doesn’t seem to like bullies, especially when she was bullied and teased her whole life. If she sees someone who is like her - an apparent 'outcast' - on an away mission, she's probably going to stand up for them, regardless of the Prime Directive.

• Being weak in front of others:
  • Sky can't STAND being weak around other officers, especially her superiors. If you offer her any aid, she is most likely to reject it. But then again, it depends on what happened.

A drawing by Jesse. It's one of the last things he gave her before he moved away from Kekorna. He gave it to her as a 13th Birthday present. Sadly, it was sucked into space when the ship's computer failed to errect a forcefield.

Sadly, due to the last mission of the Ronin, Sky has barely anything to decorate her new quarters on the Mercury. They are, predictably, bare of anything.

Workplaces

• Mercury Strategic Operations Office - Security Office
  • A smaller part of the larger Strategic Ops Office, the Mercury Security office is smaller than that of the Ronin's Security office, which was a rather big change for Sky. This office is also bare, except for the countless PADDs that are stacked up in the corner, waiting for Sky to read them.

Ambitions and Goals

• Sky has mentioned that she has wanted to become an Intelligence officer. It's unknown if she will.

Personal Achievements and Disappointments

• Achievements:
  • Graduating Starfleet Academy top of her security class.
  • Getting promoted from Ensign to Lieutenant JG. A lot of people would call this "going from 'Hot-Shot Ensign' to 'B****y Lieutenant'".
  • Was promoted to Acting Chief of Security.
  • Was promoted to Lieutenant and Chief of Security on the same day. Although she claims that she doesn't exactly like the role of being a department head, she has already done well.
  • Recieved two awards.

• Disappointments:
  • Never passing Intelligence. The only reason she couldn't pass was because she failed to graduate the Academy first off.
  • Her childhood. She was never really accepted into anything, which made a big impact on her personality now.
  • Lossage of Diego Herrera and Deven Zell.

Rex Blake. Sky barely looks like him, but still has his Brekkian ability.

• Father: Rex Blake
  • Brekkian. He is currently on Brekka as a Biologist.
    • Her father believed that Sky was a very unusual being. He liked to do scans on her. Rex was a good man, he was just ignorant of his daughter's needs. He seems to dislike his name, and prefers to go with "Jack" instead.

Lila Blake. Sky looks more like her than her father, although, Lila is both telepathic and empathic.

• Mother: Lila Blake
  • Lila is a Betazoid. She is currently the CAO (Chief Archaeologist Officer) on Brekka.
    • Lila wasn't as bonded to Sky as a normal Betazoid mother, although, due to recent events, it's been discovered that the two still keep in touch with each other. Lila was the first to be told by Sky that she may or may not be pregnant.

  • Brekkian; Sky's full time Mentor for all Intents and Purposes.
    • Marloy is Sky's mentor, one of her best friends, and her godfather. He was also the one who encouraged her to enrole in StarFleet. He currently resides on the Mercury with the belief that Sky is "out of shape".

Is in a rather open relationship with Lieutenant Alix Ozera.

• Past Relationships
  • Deven Zell: A relationship that Sky now considers her best, although, Deven was reassigned, and did not attempt to tell her goodbye. It was first thought that Sky was pregnant with his child, but it was found that it wasn't the case as the dates didn't match up.
  • Diego Herrera: Neither of them could bring themselves to admit that they love each other. Unfortunately, Diego was told to report back to Earth, with Sky to report to the Ronin. The goodbye was short and difficult, but Sky has the feeling that he won't contact her any time soon.
  • Rowan Sullivan: A fling that lasted only a night. The two still talk to each other, but it is difficult to keep up with Rowan. Sky may not admit it, but she was actually torn over him and the very short physical relationship he presented. She promised herself that she wasn't going to do it again.

Children

She is currently one month into her pregnancy with her first child.

• Goddaughter: Sarah Herrimay Lowe
  • 1/4 Brekkian 1/3 Terran; currently on Brekka
    • Sky only found out that Sarah was her goddaughter when Sarah was injured when a piece of bulkhead fell on her. Sarah is a quiet child and doesn't talk when strangers are around, regardless of their intention.

Education

Kekorna Schooling

Was born in Kekorna, and thus, went to a Kekorna pre-school for about two years, until her parents moved her to Kekorna Publisse Public School. (A Publisse school means that it's almost all years of teaching).

During this time, she excelled in Physical Education and that of Science and Languistic skills. Her scores for Mathematics, SSL (Social Skills for Life or "Drama") and History were awfully low due to her low turn-up rate of those classes, and her teachers stated that it was because she was "wagging" them with her friends to seem "cool", when, in fact, her friends were in trouble or Marloy had signed her out of school. One of these instances included an incident of which Bailey Lowe was handcuffed around a Library post.

She continued her education there until she dropped out in Year 9, of which she left Kekorna to go and continue her athletic training.

Linguistic Education

Was born in the Brekkian country of Seritona, therefore learned Seritonian from her parents and additional education from schools.

Took additional LOTS (Language Other Than Seritonian) classes, learning Terran English and German as well as Brekkian Kornettian. When she joined the Academy, she was given extra linguistic classes for German, and was taught English by Renae Sullivan, who was her roommate.

Military History

Sky had a winning streak of Velocity, beating quite a few people - even her teachers. Apparently, she still holds the championship.

"Okay, so we have a thalaron weapon on the loose with the Scarlet Brotherhood handling it. These are supposably the same people that took over some of DS9 and almost destroyed the Walton. Go team." ~ Stardate 238806.07

"You know, I'm not going to pretend I know what you're going through. I'm just an Engineer; but I do know you could benefit from a little sleep. " ~ Lieutenant Deven Zell, Stardate 238808.16

During the first day aboard the Ronin, Sky had temporarily lost both movement and feeling in her legs. How is unknown, but she thinks it’s due to a lapse in concentration? She also had an issue with her telepathy, which was fixed when a telepathic inhibitor was put on her neck to stop any telepathic use for most of the mission. Sky has also been sleep deprived, and had not slept for around four days. She was dismissed from duty by Lieutenant Deven Zell, who was her team leader, and told to get some sleep.

Unfortunately, Sky's condition deteriorated, and on stardate 238808.27, was relieved of duty due to being insubordinate. However, after a short talk with Tallis, she was was put back on duty.

IMPORTANT RELATIONSHIPS

• Renae Sullivan: Was Sky's roommate in the Academy; Renae helped her out with the theory part of classes. The two were occasionally called "The Unbreakable Duo", although, they weren't posted on the same ship.

• Cynthia (Kayem) Nayla: Sky's first friend when she left Brekka, Cynthia was found by her hanging around the outskirts of the Academy. After a few weeks, Sky begged her to enlist, or at least become a Recruit. Cynthia was also posted to the Challenger-A, although was taken off duty due to a complication with her hearing. It's been discovered that Cynthia was killed during the bombings of Starbase 118.

• Tal Tel-ar: Sky's first Captain and the last Captain of the USS Challenger-A in 2388. She still calls him "Captain", even though he was reposted as Chief Tactical Officer at the Duronis II Embassy, and his actual rank is Commander. She also has a high respect for him, even when she was extemely rude and insubordinate towards him.

• Diego Herrera: Sky's Counsellor and probably one of her first friends on the Challenger. He seemed to be the one who patched her up every time she got hurt (which was unusually often). Although they seemed to grow closer, Diego was posted back to Earth, and has not contacted Sky since.

• Hannibal Parker: When Sky first met him, he was the Acting Chief Tactical Officer onboard the Challenger. After Major DeMarc was put into a telepathic induced coma, he became the Acting Chief of both Tactical and Security. Sky's relationship with him was . . . difficult at first, as the two were constantly arguing and could be heard through the bulkheads. Their relationship mended somewhat when Sky was attacked and nearly killed by a childhood bully onboard the Challenger, causing Parker to become protective of her. He became more protective when her spinal cord was severed by a Bajoran in an attempt on her life during an away mission, and even more so when her parents, Lila and Rex, came aboard Starbase 375 during Shore Leave. He values her as an officer, and seemed very proud to promote her to the Acting Chief of Security, and then the Chief of Security along with a promotion to Lieutenant. Recent events have proved that the two are physically attracted to each other, and they both acted on it due to Sky's high level of pheromones. The only thing that stopped them from having sex was Sky's fear of pregnancy, as she speculated that Parker was not protected. It has now left an awkward situation.

• Tallis Rhul: Sky's second Captain and the Mercury's current captain, their relationship isn't exactly fantastic. At first, Sky refused to take him as her captain due to his being a Bajoran. She was also so insubordinate that he relieved her of duty. Their relationship has mended somewhat since.

• Deven Zell: A relationship that started out on the bridge of a starship, the two didn't really get along much when they first met. They grew closer when Deven helped Alix Ozera locate Sky when her telepathy got further out of control. They started a relationship that lasted for about a week before he was posted to a special assignment. He didn't attempt to tell her goodbye, and he hasn't tried to contact her since. In recents events, Deven was briefly considered to be the father of Sky's child, but it's been found that it cannot be the case, as the dates of both their relationship and conception didn't match at all.
