Ayari was raised in a small farming village just south of the site where B’hala would later be discovered. She developed a fascination with the ruins following their rediscovery in 2373, immersing herself in the stories and artifacts tied to Bajor's ancient past. Her curiosity deepened as she learned of the Cardassian Occupation's role in looting many of Bajor’s historical treasures, including the painting that ultimately led researchers to uncover B’hala.
