Ensign Miaxdiso Avoi is a cheery, talkative and highly organised Betazoid, currently serving as Diplomatic Officer for the USS Gorkon.

As an incredibly sociable creature, Avoi is in her element when attending high society events, rubbing shoulders with big political, spiritual and otherwise eminent figures, taking all of it quite seriously indeed. Obsessed with formalities, she is a master of protocol and an advocate of punctuality, always attending to not only her own high standards, but the standards of those around her too. Although quite a fussy character, she has a full heart and a beaming smile that radiates positivity.

	Backstory

Meivredi Avoi

Miaxdiso was born in the City of Idridi in Tharazad, a region on the planet Betazed, to parents Meivredi and Astrim Avoi (née Ireistrad), and is the sister of Reidaxmi and Cigris Avoi. The matriarch of the family is Kiadoxa Avoi, Meivredi's mother. Tall, shiny and striking as Idridi is, the majority of its residents reside in impressive apartments and penthouses overlooking the glamour and glitz of the city below. Whilst Miaxdiso's grandmother and house matriarch, Kiadoxa, is famed for her hosting and singing skills, the bulk of her families notoriety is thanks to Meivredi and Astrim, each illustrious for their own reasons. Meivredi, affectionately known as Edi, is a patroness who found her footing in philanthropy and good causes, admired for her assertive personality and exquisite style and taste. Her husband, Miaxdiso's father Astrim, was her personal stylist for some time, the two soon falling in love and later marrying. Thanks to his talent, and with Edi's influence in their locale, he founded his own fashion design company, with his outfits doted on and worn by the cities richest inhabitants. So it can be said that Miaxdiso's blended love for fashion and organisation stems from the two people she admires most, her mother and father.

  • Having met on the transfer shuttlecraft Akira, en route to the USS Gorkon, Miaxdiso, Xandria and Torvi Ylvor bonded over facts, anecdotes and games and soon became an unlikely trio of best friends. Xandria is her antithesis; often teased by her Human friend, theirs is a friendship that shouldn't work on paper, yet somehow does. Although she at times finds Xandria's teasing irritating, her cheery, fearless and good-hearted nature more than makes up for it.

  • Much like Xandria, Miaxdiso met Torvi while waiting aboard their transfer shuttle to the USS Gorkon. What came from it was a wonderful friendship that she treasures most dearly. Her Trill friend's knowledge is what impresses her most. Full to the brim with not only many lifetimes of experiences, but also unending technical knowledge, she greatly admires not only Torvi's work ethic but also her sense of character and depth. Shortly before Torvi's departure to her new assignment, Miaxdiso gifted her with a selection of one of a kind Idridian garments.
