Aresee Lily Ventu was born to Jarin Ventu and Matilda Tayler in 2352. Matilda had been warned earlier in her life that she carried a genetic marker that made neurochemical imbalance almost certain in any children she might have, and so the couple decided not to have children. Pre-Starfleet
- 235205.24 - Born in the Scandinavian region of Earth to Jarin and Matilda Ventu.
- 2355 - Aresee is first diagnosed with her classified 'chemical imbalance.' Although the disorder was treatable at birth, it is now something she must live with. Her parents start her on a daily round of medications and hypos.
- 2360 - At the age of 8, Aresee experiences her first violent mood swing while at school. Her medication is increased, and she is placed under the care of various counselors. It's around this time that she eschews her first name, citing an inborn hatred for its forced ostentatiousness, and chooses to go by her middle name, Lily.
- 2368 - Lily expressed the desire to become a counselor herself. Her mother, having recently retired from her merchant captaincy, suggests Starfleet as a possible career path.
- 2369 - Lily fails her first entrance exam when she attempts it during her junior year. She decides to attend a counseling school on Earth.
- 2370 - After her acceptance to two reputable schools and her graduation, Lily takes the Starfleet exam again at Matilda's urging. She passes, and decides to try it out for a year.
- 2371 - In the first months of her freshman year, Lily meets Nicholas Parks, and the two become good friends. A month before the end of their first year, the two begin dating.
- 2373 - During Aresee's junior year at the Academy, she decides to take a leave of absence for several reasons. Not coincidentally, the leave of absence request comes just as Nick and Lily break up.
- 2374 - Lily borrows a family ship and strikes out on her own.
- 2376 - Two years hence, Lily finds herself on the edge of Federation space, in the region known as the Borderlands. For some reason, she's drawn to the region. While there, pragmatism wins out over aesthetics, and Lily becomes Aresee again, using her old name as a kind of alias.
- 2378 - Aresee spends two years in the Borderlands, making various contacts and enemies. During the end of her stay, she discovers an eleven year old girl - Alexa, no last name - and, like her attraction to the Borderlands themselves, finds herself inexplicably drawn to the girl. She convinces the girl to come with her.
- 2379 - Aresee is chased out of the Borderlands by various enemies. She and Alexa return to Earth. Matilda and Jarin formally adopt Alexa.
- 2380 - Aresee spends several months at home, reacclimating to the Federation standard of life and helping her new sister adjust. To her dismay, she finds that her mood swings have returned in full force. Aresee returns to the Academy. She does an extra semester of catch-up. While there, she steers clear of romantic contact, and though she has a few acquaintances, makes few friends. She does not attempt to track down Nick, nor does she return to using Lily as her first name.
- 2382 - Aresee graduates from the Academy.

- 238208.27 - Aresee is promoted to Ensign and assigned to U.S.S. Victory as counselor.
- 238209 - 238212 - Assisted with the mission to Tanuga IV. Aresee worked with a triage unit on the surface, and was then captured and held hostage before being rescued by the Victory crew.
- 238212 - 238301 - Following the Tanugan mission, Aresee spends a long period in technologically-induced resting periods, regaining her health.
- 238301.17 - Aresee is promoted to Lieutenant J.G.
- 238301 - 238304 - Took part in the Celipenthia Station mission. Aresee is assigned to Alpha Team, along with Lt. Commander Julia Harden and Lt. J.G. Ben Hunnicutt. Alpha Team infiltrates the station, allowing their crewmembers aboard. During this mission, Aresee's mother, Matilda, interferes, jeopardizing the lives of the crew.
- 238304.05 - Back aboard the Victory, Aresee watches as her mother is kidnapped by a strange, unmanned device.
- 238304.27 - Following increased bouts of depression, Aresee relieves herself of duty.
- 238305.03 - Aresee receives a message from her mother, relaying that Matilda is safe and is living approximately two hundred years in the future. Aresee returns to active duty.
- 238305.16 - Aresee is promoted to Lieutenant.
- 238306.06 - During a shipwide systems malfunction, Aresee remains on the bridge. There is an energy overload, during which Captain Phoenix disappears. Aresee is temporarily placed in command.
- 238307 - Following the restoration of the Victory's systems, Aresee takes a leave of absence to return to Earth.
- 238309.22 - While returning from her leave of absence, Aresee's runabout is attacked by an unknown vessel. With the starbase's help, the vessel is destroyed.
- 238310.28 - After embarking upon their next mission - escorting some Bajoran diplomats - Aresee receives a message from her mother than the next few days will be 'very important' to both her and the timeline.
- 238312.09 - Aresee is attacked aboard the Victory by unknown assailants, and subsequently phased out of temporal sync by a woman named Aurelie Trenet who purports to be 'on her side.'
- 238401.09 - Aresee, Aurlie, and Captain Robin Phoenix are taken by a race calling themselves the Collectors. With Aurelie's help, they are able to escape and return to the Victory. Aresee is phased back to normal.
- 238402.19 - Aresee is promoted to Lieutenant Commander.
- 238403.29 - The Victory is decommissioned. Aresee is posted to the U.S.S. Constitution-B as second officer.
- 238404 (first third) - Aresee and Alexa arrive on the Constitution, where Aresee formally receives her promotion to second officer. Lt Commander Victoria Yladro, newly promoted to first officer, offers Aresee her old quarters.
- 238404 (second third) - Aresee quickly grows frustrated with her new position when she is assigned to work with ship's counselor Emirry MacGowan. After her first staff meeting aboard the Constitution, she stays to talk with Commander Daydan Taboo, the commanding officer, and expresses her concerns over her lack of formal duties. Taboo clarifies that she is free from a departmental designation, but that she oversees all departments. Since the Constitution's operations officer is on leave, Aresee takes on the responsibilites of the chief operations officer.
- 238404 (last third) - The Constitution arrives at Angel One, an independent world world seeking Federation membership. Commander Yladro leads an away team to the surface while Aresee is charged with preparing the reception banquet on the ship. However, while she is doing so, a small group of raiders from Angel One beams to the ship and incapacitates much of the crew. Aresee, with the help of her sister Alexa and recently rediscovered ex Nick Parks, manages to retake Engineering. From there, they, now helped by Lieutenant j.g. Uria, are able to gain control of the bridge and restore order on the ship.
- 238405 (first third) - Aresee and Nick, along with the recently arrived Ensign Mekarnoputra, try to reorganize the banquet. Indigo Haze, the leader of the raiders, is also with them, though Nick is keeping an eye on her. Aresee, however, doesn't trust the woman, and rightly so, as she attacks Counselor MacGowan in the corridor. Aresee has her locked in the brig, though the banquet proceeds on schedule.
- 238405 (second third) - The banquet is a success in more ways than one, though Angel One's bid for Federation membership is denied. However, Aresee and Nick get back together, and, after Aresee is 'asked' to sing at the ceremony by the captain, they consummate their relationship in Aresee's new quarters. While there, they discuss Aresee's career, Nick's promotion, and Aresee's name change. Aresee decides that one chapter in her life has come to a close, and she returns to using Lily as her first name.

Medical Record
Medical History
- Lily has struggled with her condition, a neurochemical imbalance, since she was very young. Only in recent years has the condition lessened in its severity, thanks to new treatments and medicines. In her time in Starfleet, the condition has only hit severely two times:
- In her first weeks as an ensign aboard the Victory, she suffered extreme separation anxiety and nervousness, which the imbalance reflected back tenfold. She collapsed on the bridge, and was treated by Lieutenant Doctor Julia Harden in the Victory sickbay.
- Onboard the Constitution, following the discovery of her Lieutenant Commander Nick Parks's secret project, Lily overreacted and her chemical imbalance increased her feelings of hurt and jealousy over an assumed second lover. This time, she came out of it on her own, after being grounded in reality by Counselor Emirry MacGowan.
Physiological Profile
- Lily's only true injury of note occurred after her first mission onboard the Victory. Ensign Ventu had been taken hostage in a dispute with some Tanugan extremists, and when she was recovered, the full extent of her physical and mental injuries were unknown, even to her. It is likely that she was tortured, but the memories were blocked out. She was placed in a slow-healing stasis pod for three weeks following the incident.
Psychological Profile
- Other than her neurochemical imbalance (see above), Lily has no psychological problems of note.
- On several tests, Lily has been noted as ambitious and headstrong, with a tendency to go against rules, for good or ill. One striking example occurred in a mission the Victory crew had aboard a secret Romulan base. Her team leader, Commander Harden, ordered Lily to stay with the group, but Lily went against orders and left the group in order to rescue her mother. While her actions were not condemned following the mission, they are worthy of note.
Telepathic Status
- Lily has no measurable telepathic or empathic abilites.
Hobbies, Interests, and Activities
- Aresee's quarters are on Deck Eight, Room 16.
Ventu's Non-Playable Characters
Lt Commander Nick Parks
- Nick is a science officer onboard the Constitution, and is currently in a serious relationship with Lily.

Matilda Tayler-Ventu
- Matilda is Lily's time-displaced mother.
Dr. Hayden Reynolds
- Hayden was a promising young medical officer until his ship disappeared in 2378. He is the only survivor, but he is trapped in a subspace pocket.
Aurelie Trenet
- Aurelie is a temporal agent who works under Matilda and who has handled temporal incursions involving Lily before.
Major Ven Jemtil
- Ven is a temporal agent, though anything beyond that is unknown. He has some kind of relationship with Aurelie.
Lieutenant Samuel Koveski
- Sam worked with Lily aboard the Victory, but has since moved back to Starfleet Command.
