• Carriage: Saunters, carries PADDs usually in her left hand held against her hip. If she’s carrying a bag with a strap it’s usually over her right shoulder with her right hand grasping the strap near the shoulder with a slight slouch to the right.
• Physical Limitations: Taller than your average Andorian, so low ceilings tend to result in scraped stalks and forehead bruises.

• Taste in Clothing (when off duty): Something comfy, like t-shirts and shorts usually one size too big so she can breathe. Sleeps in the nude.
• Shoes: Fleet issued boots on duty. Barefoot, sandals, or flats when off (her extra height means she rarely wears heels)

• Mental conditions: Always has a nagging sense of claustrophobia at the back of her mind since most spaces, even those on Federation ships and installations, are not quite tall enough for her.

Starfleet

Alieth Professional Aquaintance Vylaa had little professional or personal interaction with Alieth until they ventured into a deep cave on Palanon following the rogue planet incident. It was when they encountered an underground lake that couldn’t be circumvented that the Andorian learned the Vulcan not only couldn’t swim, but was afraid of deep water. Since they had to get to the other side, she swam Alieth across on her back and was told she “owes her one.” Even though the science officer has left the ship, Vylaa still plans on collecting.

Quinn Reynolds Commanding Officer Prior to her Skarbek experience, Vylaa just saw Admiral Reynolds as her commanding officer. Aside from the Andorian’s first day on the Gorkon, they really hadn’t interacted much at all. But then the Skarbek “dream” happened, where they were almost friends. Their dream relationship soured, and she feels uneasy over her last words in the dream. Now, Vylaa has no idea what’s going on.

	Personal History

Born in L'uvan City, Thara, Andoria. She was named for her shreva with a compromise that they change her names spelling to make it her own. Vylaa is the middle of fraternal triplets, thanks to a then new fertility drug called Gemintriol which increases egg release during the shen’s cycle. Unfortunately, Gemintriol did not prove to be the savior to the Andorian population crisis it was hoped to be, as further data collected showed that approximately 60% of all shens are allergic to the drug. It is still used wherever possible.

Vylaa enjoyed school growing up, and was always near the top of her class, and was especially happy whenever she was assigned projects, such as the yearly science projects. In fact, she proved very apt at making things work, and was often tinkering with one thing or another. By the time she reached her 7th year in school, most of her childhood toys had been disassembled and reassembled to see how they worked (and some of her sisters' toys too).

Secondary school was fairly uneventful for Vylaa. Given the fact that both her fathers had been in Starfleet, and one of her mothers was a physicist, it was no surprise that she took classes in the Academy Prep program. Most of her extracurricular activities were in academic clubs like robotics and the math league, where she forged most of her friendships. This helped her keep her nose clean, for the most part.

In mid-2400 Vylaa's family surprised her with a visit during shore leave on Bajor. On the first day of their visit her wife Sallia announced she was pregnant, which meant Vylaa would soon receive the embryo for the final stages of gestation. She decided she would not follow Andorian tradition and enter seclusion, a rare decision for a zhen.

Following the mission to Sargasso V the Gorkon put in for shoreleave at Andoria. It was the first time Vylaa had been home since her Academy graduation. She took advantage of the chance to show her crewmates life on the frozen moon, including a trip to the site of Andoria's first (successful) FTL steps.
