The Tactical Department of the USS Tiger-A is maintains the weapons and defenses of the ship in a ready state for use against hostile forces. Tactical personnel execute firing solutions and prepare appropriate defensive and offensive options for Command.

The Tactical Department is also responsible for collecting damage information from sensors and maintaining a database of information on encountered vessels. The Tactical Department coordinates with the Security Department in the larger objective of keeping the ship secure.
