Rigel VI is the sixth planet of the Rigel system, and is part of the Rigelian Assembly. It is the home world of the Jelna people, and became a significant center of trade between the Rigel system and the other worlds of the Federation, coordinating a great deal of cargo.
After joining the Rigelian Assembly, many Jelna relocated to Rigel V, the Assembly's capital world. As such, the population of Rigel VI is now unbalanced between the Jelna natives and Rigelian colonists.
