Also known as an autonomous survival and recovery vehicle (ASRV), a starship escape pod is the last resort available to a crew when their ship is in severe danger or on the brink of destruction. After launch, the vehicles are capable of linking together in "Gaggle Mode", in order to share resources and increase crew survivability.
Specifications
The Intrepid Class ASRVs possess two docking ports, an extendable communications array, short-range transporter and "one-shot" emergency phaser bank.
