Ensign Gazki is a Xindi-Insectoid currently serving as as an Engineer aboard the USS Artemis-A.

PERSONALITY
Surprisingly patient for a Xindi-Insectoid. Well-skilled in the debate tactics that the Xindi overall are known for, but also knows when to stop talking and start working. As an older Insetoid, Gazki carries themself with quiet dignity and a teacherly bearing. Always ready to hand out advice on technical matters.

Gazki considers themself to have an indistinct, forgettably anonymous face by Xindi-Insectoid standards.
BACKGROUND
Gazki is the spawn of a prominent starship-builidng family on New Xindus. With hundreds of siblings, cousins and other relations to compete with for a prominent place in the family business, young Gazki decided to seek out a place for themself in Starfleet. Most Incectoids to join Starfleet do so as non-commissioned officers, owing to the four-year commitment to the Academy needed to become a commissioned officer. Not a small investment of time when one’s species has an estimated lifespan of twelve years. Gazki, though, enjoyed the challenge and rewards of a (relatively) lengthy education.
As an engineer, Glazki specializes in fabrication and manufacturing, and has acquired one of the higher performance ratings as a workbee operator. They aspire to become one of the very, very few Xindi-Insectoids to achieve the rank of Lieutenant (Junior Grade) before retiring. With their nearly-spotless (if risk-averse) performance record, they just might make it.
At ten years of age of age, Gazki is physiologically at least upper-middle-age if not an elder. Thus, they were spared assimilation during the events of Frontier Day 2401. They do, however, bear the scars of fighting their assimilated fellows. Physically present as a dull line along their left forearm where their exoskeleton was cracked open and then hastily closed with field medicine.
CAREER HISTORY
2399: Graduates Starfleet Academy
2401: Gazki headed the workbee team which assisted in the dismantling of the Tritorian and removal of its parts from the planet Ura Neteos III. (“Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing”)
