Physiology
Losarians have pale blue skin, and their iris and sclera (white of the eye) are the same color. [1] However, there was a lot of variety within the species. [2] for example, the pilot of the cruiser Illrith was described as having deep blue skin that contrasted against the royal red uniforms of the Losarian Royal Navy. [3] Losarian do not handle zero gravity well which has meant- amongst other things- that their starships are constructed within gravity wells, such as on Losaria[4].
Society
Government
There was mention of a Central Command. This could be the main body of government on Losaria and their territories. The Losarian head of state is Queen Enora Glynndor who ascended to the throne six months before the Columbia made first contact. [5]
Technology
The Losarians had access to warp-capable ships with weapons, subspace communications, sensors, transporter and shields systems. They also had a "tachyon field emitter", which could disable or fool ship's sensor systems.[6] They themselves could break through such a field, however their sensors could be disabled with an "ionized nadion pulse".[7]
Military
The military arm of the Losarian Commonwealth is known as the 'Royal Navy'. Their uniforms are described as being 'royal red' in colour. Women are permitted to serve as cruiser captains as evidenced by Commander Marayn, with the possibility of higher-ranking positions. [8]. The Nahalon-class cruiser Illrith is the flagship of the Royal Navy as of 2396. Exploration does not seem to be a priority for the Royal Navy as very few ships have ventured beyond the territorial borders of the Commonwealth. Ellin Marayn, the Illrith's commanding officer inferred that Losarian military officers do not put their lives on the line without concrete evidence- which contrasts with the Federation Starfleet.

This species has just been encountered. It will be updated once the crew of the USS Columbia learns more. It will not be unlikely that they will encounter the Losarians again, however.
