Starbase 118 Ops

His arrival onto Starbase 118 happened just in time for them to leave on the Odyssey mission. He managed to survive his first mission with his mind relatively intact, and afterward had himself a drink with Commander Benjamin Walker and Marine Captain Joseph Dubeau to discuss a game of poker. He passed out hardcore that night after the fact, due to some Antaran brandy. He woke up in time to learn of a beach party hosted by Lt. Commander Matthews, the new first officer. He woke up confused, because far as he knew, Walker was still the first officer.

During his time on Starbase 118, he had hated the Code Blues that always interrupted his off-days. All he wanted to do was have a day to himself, but he tried to be first on the scene whenever Lt. MacLaren summoned him and one of said Code Blue situations arose.

USS Excalibur-A

Once he was transferred onto the USS Excalibur, the first mission they go on involves Chythar attempting to aid Lt. MacLaren in her efforts to stop a catastrophic plague from wiping out the Romulan population on Agurtha. During said efforts, he was injured in an explosion that caused his mind to become haphazard shards of random thought but he was still fully capable of doing his job as a medical officer with only partial hearing. He was dedicated to research, as that was the task that Captain Kalianna Nicholotti had bestowed on him. Due to his fractured thought processes and a low-grade concussion, it took him a few minutes to realize that was what he should be doing and the capacity of being the most useful at the moment. The number of patients greatly outweighed the number of patients, so he was chosen as the research monkey. Hard at work on the cure to the plague, he was too hyper-focused on this to notice at once that Ensign Alden Cuthbert was in fact suffering from poison and not from the plague itself. He thought it was the plague at first because of his too-focused mindset. He is also the genius behind the Teapaste that saved Alden's life. The security ensign's near-death experience averted, Chythar finished what later became known as The Skyfire Cure. Within hours after the cure was completed, he was granted the rank of Lieutenant JG and given awards for his actions. The promotion had unnerved him, and he had a nice chat with Taybrim.

Just before they ship out, he makes a friend in Sal Taybrim, who is the first counselor Chythar's worked with happily since getting out of the academy. Unfortunately, the test of time and life of Starfleet brings Taybrim's time on the USS Excalibur-A to a close as it takes him to the USS Darwin-A. During Sal's absence, he realizes he's going to probably wind up breaking a fourth counselor by the name of Ensign Ceilidh Riverview. Last thing he wanted was to do that, so he set up a meeting over coffee with Lieutenant Collim Kieran in order to reinforce his shields and discuss the current situation with her. The two discussed, and Collim agreed to help reinforce his mental shields only if he set up that appointment with Riverview and began the discussion. What seemed like a month to Chythar, Taybrim's return from the Darwin cause him to hope again. Shortly afterward, the crew engaged the Slipstream drive and appeared in a region of space that began messing with their minds. The doctor was trying to save Ensign Azin's life during a Dokkaran mind meld that messed with his mind in ways that he didn't imagine due to his impressive mental fortitude, for being human. As a result, the meld rewrote his genetic code and granted him limited telepathy.

Chythar Skyfire – Genesis Badge – The writer behind our very own Chythar Skyfire came to us as so many officers do; having the basics, but needing some guidance in certain aspects of simming. For those who have been around since he came aboard, the improvement in his sims is something you can’t help but notice. Having worked hard with mentors and command staff, Skyfire’s writer has gone from the basic, minimally structured sims, to characterized sims that really make him part of our storyline. The effort behind this accomplishment has not gone unnoticed, consisting of lots of writing, rewriting, critiques, and questions, and so, I am proud to present the Genesis Badge to Mister Skyfire! Medical Records

He entered Starfleet with a perfectly clean bill of health. An athlete through and through, who had a 2 hour regimen of exercises each day. Now, it has reduced to one hour per day when time allows. His first noted injury was on 238902.17 when he sustained a broken wrist on his cadet cruise.

Dr. Alexander Morgan approved Lt. Skyfire cleared to return to work following his regaining consciousness post-sedation in reference to a Dokkaran mind-meld.

The day of his cadet cruise, the patient suffered a broken wrist, left hand. Bed-rest was prescribed, and the patient decided to use a dermal regenerator to aid in the healing process. Wrist is subject to irritation once in a while.

The patient suffered a low grade concussion and doesn't remember exactly what happened during or before the blast. Did not lose consciousness, suffered two ruptured ear drums. Both of which were treated by Dr. Folds. Bed-rest was prescribed by both Captain Nicholotti & Doctor Morgan, while the patient healed most of his own injuries using a dermal regenerator.

Patient sustained a second break to his wrist that was broken during his cadet cruise. He attempted to fix it himself, and may still have some residual nerve damage in his finger tips.

Patient was sedated by Dr. Alexander Morgan following intense pain throughout his entire body from a Dokkoran mind-meld. Said experience altered Chythar's genetic code such that he became somewhat telepathic/empathic, though exact status is unknown at this time. Suspected to be T2/E2. This was a self diagnosis by Dr. Skyfire. Once the second sedative wore off, Dr. Morgan clears the lieutenant to return to duty.

Known issues/problems:

• Mediocre self-esteem/inferiority complex: He pulls it together when his life or the life of his crew is threatened and tries harder than he needs to. His issue stems mostly from not being able to fit in or find friends.
• Never talks about his family, due to not having them anymore.
• Asperger's Syndrome. He never talks about it.
• Loneliness complex -- doesn't find friends easily, has a harder time making friends.Has trust issues with counselors, because soon as he finds one he likes, they usually disappear.

• Ensign Skyfire has the appearance of an individual who is in control of who he is and what he is about. Seemingly a self proclaimed "workaholic" he has professed to be uncomfortable and stressed when work cuts into his free time. This provides a conundrum: does he really throw himself into his work and prefer it above other activities, or does he say that because he feels he should to impress those around him?
• Has expressed desire to separate professional from personal, which is impossible (in the opinion of this humble counselor of course.)
• Exhibits tendencies for self defeating behavior which manifests as frustration. This frustration lashes out and nearby sensitives such as empaths, telepaths, and those sensitive to such energies feel the brunt of it. Has expressed a desire to control his emotions for this reason.

• NOTE: Feels he has gotten on Dr. MacLaren's bad side. Will keep an eye on the situation for any developments.
