Ryes Thar'tavos is an Andorian Ensign serving as an Operations Officer on the USS Octavia E Butler and formally the USS Oumuamua, They are without a doubt, the most boring person you could hope to meet.
About Thar'tavos
Ryes perfers his hair professionally combed and gelled back and around their antennae. They are about 6 foot 1 Ryes is a by-the-book, conventional officer. They are described as possibly the most boring, monotonous, and conventional operations officer to have ever existed. They lack creativity and originality, often defaulting to following orders with a simple "yes, sir". Ryes is committed to their duties and follows protocol.
They can sometimes view certain tasks as beneath them, showing annoyance when assigned to what they perceive as menial work. They have shown moments of initiative, such as suggesting to collect teams and leave a dangerous situation. This indicates that they are capable of independent thought when the situation demands it.

During the mission to rescue the USS Unity Dow, Ryes Thar’tavos, enters the transporter room to replace chips in various panels Despite trying to get the officer’s attention, he doesn’t seem to notice Kovacs and Qualunque who have phased out of reality.
Ryes completes his task, cleans up the hyperspanner left behind, and leaves the transporter room, composing a passive-aggressive message to the Operations team about maintaining cleanliness.
