Early Life
Roxanne "Rox" Queen was born on Turkana IV. Initially a nuisance to her parents, they're opinion changed when they realized their daughter had unique gifts. Their favorite by far was her ability to make latinum out of thin air. Forcing her to use this ability allowed them to live a secure life with little effort. When they had finally accumulated enough, Rox's parents left Turkana IV, leaving her behind.
On her own for 2 years, she was rescued by her "Aunt Susan" and taken to live on Earth. Her aunt, being a Q, could not stay permanently as members of the Continuum had opinions on non-Q who had powers like Rox's. For a while Rox traveled from one place to another. While on cold station 12 she saw a spotted man and a blue man getting ready for transport. Thinking it would be funny if they were mushed together. The situation quickly became not funny and with no way to fix her mistake Rox decided she needed to take another path.
After completing nursing school, she joined Starfleet as a nurse on the USS Thor. Rox subsequently joined the Oumuamua crew. She is a dedicated nurse and enjoys helping V'Len Kel with his fungi related side projects. She is easily bored and is always on the lookout for new adventures.
In 2400, Rox's proximity to a stellar phenomena amplified her powers and caused her to send the crew of the Oumuamua back to 2265 to replace the crew of the USS Intrepid. The crew successfully completed their mission and Rox was able to get both the Intrepid and the Oumuamua crews back where they belonged. In the aftermath of the event is was discovered that both Rox and Quinta (a member of the Q Continuum) were being venerated as deities on the planet Gelf. In order to stay on the Oumuamua Rox agreed to allow Quinta to block her powers so she would not be a risk to the crew.
Later in 2400 Rox and a medical team boarded the USS Nautilus. The Nautilus engineers had been performing a unique experiment and high levels of Kardashev tachyons were detected. While on the vessel Rox sneezed causing confetti to rain down from the ceiling. Somehow Rox had was able to Access her powers once again.
Interests / Hobbies
Her favorite drink is a Blue Squale (Andorian Ale, Romulan Ale, Syrup of Squill). Rox also enjoys placing artwork in unique locations.
Friendships
- Katsim Peri
- Peri is Rox's "BFF". While Peri's personality is diametrically opposite of Rox's the two women have none the less shared numerous adventures. Peri is the only one to whom Rox had confided her greatest shame. That her powers were responsible for causing V'Len Kel's transporter accident.
- TK Cabrillo
- Rox and Cabrillo share a mutual love for torturing new ensigns aboard the USS Oumuamua. They also share a sassy disposition and a love of practical jokes. If Zimedia Nijal is the angel on TK's shoulder, Rox is...the other one.
- K'Oar-€l
- After a very confusing first meeting Rox had come to view K'Oar-€l as a good, if not strange, friend. He's particularly fun at weddings.
