Family

Personal History

Born into the lavish Wilde family, Marcus was the third son of six children to Charles and Catherine Wilde. Extremely proud and respectful of his family history in regards to the Federation and service to Starfleet, he entered Starfleet academy on his own back. The Wilde's have served in Starfleet since the beginning of the Federation and he is keen to see the tradition continue. He was extremely proud when both of his children decided to join Starfleet.

Like most Wilde's, Marcus specialized in security and tactical while at the academy and secured a tactical analysts post at Starfleet Security early on in his career. He's never seen much of the galaxy as he's never served on starship duty before. His work as a Regional Commander is more desk bound as he oversees the security of several sectors in the Alpha Quadrant. He currently holds the rank of Captain.

After only a few years of marriage to his wife Amanda, the two quickly realized they were not meant to be together. They had far too many differences between them. Marcus was more Starfleet orientated whereas Amanda is more a free spirit and deeply resents Starfleet. The two divorced when Regan and Roxy were very young infants. He left the Wilde Estate and moved to San Francisco to be closer to work.

This put a strain on his relationship with his children. Growing up the twins didn't see much of their father and Regan especially missed his father growing up. After Regan's wash out of the academy in 2391, Marcus sent him privately to a Vulcan treatment center as opposed to Starfleet Medical where his ordeal would be made more public. When Regan re-entered the academy and graduated in 2397, Regan assumed his father vetoed his application to be a test pilot for new starships and instead got him assigned as a security officer on starship duty.

Marcus is very strict and somewhat cold. He is a no-nonsense man who despises laziness and un-Starfleet like behaviour. Because of this, he and Regan rarely see eye to eye.

In 2398 he arrived at Starbase 821 while the Arrow was docked, and informed Regan he had initiated a transfer for him to lead up a specialized marine task force under his command for a new Federation colony near the old Romulan Neutral Zone. He also butted heads with Captain Shayne over this transfer, and was asked to leave the ship. Regan and his father had a final confrontation with each other on the starbase, and the order was rescinded, allowing Regan to remain on the Arrow.
