The USS Independence-A is a Prometheus Class vessel commissioned after the destruction of the USS Independence. The Independence-A is a heavy cruiser and boasts a range of tactical abilities thanks to its combined heritage and design from the Defiant, Sovereign and Intrepid classes. It also couples as a scientific exploration vessel, a diplomatic vessel and is the flagship for the Fleet in the Ithassa Region.
