Conway and Wanda Adler we're aboard Conway's cargo vessel when Wanda gave birth to Conrad in 2371. The cargo run went on without a break, and the radishes made their mark.

Conrad grew up as an only child, his time divided between extended stays on Earth and long hauls on his father's cargo ship when he was old enough. His mother was a teacher who was able to help fill in gaps in his learning during formative years.

At a young age, Conrad enjoyed watching circus clowns and acrobats in action and even briefly considered a career path as a comedic juggler before finally deciding to join Starfleet instead. In his teenage years he would juggle for his supper on some of the planets his family would go to on cargo runs, and at the Academy he could often be found entertaining his peers after hours.
