Background
Alessandro Ferrucci was born in Firenze, Italy, on December 27th 2374. His father Francesco Ferrucci is a biotechnologies researcher at "Centro unito Italiano di ricerca biomedica" (Italian United Center for Biomedical Research, or IUBR), and his mother Caterina Fabbri is a pianist and expert on Xenomusicology. His younger sister is studying to become an Engineer at Starfleet Academy. Alessandro was born in a rather pacific family environment, with both his parents encouraging him in pursuing his interests and in a highly historical city of Italy. He grew up not knowing what was his path, until when he was 17 years old his father brought him to his workplace and showed what he works with everyday. He became suddenly interested in biomedical sciences, and decided to enroll in Starfleet Academy to pursue a career as a doctor. He is fond of music, and was always fascinated by his mother's field. But he felt it was not the right path for him, because it didn't give him that spark in knowledge and curiosity that sciences typically do.
