Personality

Rho tends to be calm, open, honest, and trusting to a fault. Some would claim she hasn't gained enough experience to be cynical, but she feels she'd rather remain her normal friendly self then suspect everyone around her all the time. When on duty she leans a bit more towards being professional and keeping her mind on the job at hand, but she is still friendly to those around her. Off duty, she is approachable to give assistance or just to talk. She gives some of her trust easily, but it can take some time to gain her absolute trust. However, once one has her absolute trust it is very difficult to loose it. If it is lost, it is very difficult to regain. If she is certain she is right, she will stand to her opinion. However, if shown evidence to the contrary she will admit she is wrong.

Ambitions and Goals

Thus far, Rho has managed to meet the goals she's set for herself. At this point, her main goal is to continue a successful Starfleet career and be of use to those around her.

Personal Achievements and Disappointments

Rho tries to not be a prideful individual. She may use her full range of abilities, but tries to pass it off as her just doing her job rather then boast. In the end, she feels she's had a good day if she makes it through with herself and her colleages intact and ready to face the next challange. She tends to take a lot onto herself, feeling that as she has these capabilities she should be able to protect those around her. When people near her are injured she often blames herself, even when it's noted there was nothing she could do otherwise.

She does feel proud at how well she has done so far. Her early years, the sacrifice of her disk, joining Starfleet on her own merits, and not getting killed on her first mission. Maybe not a real achievement, but it works for her.

Family

  • Mother: Lieutenant Alice Falcon - Starfleet R&D
  • Grandfather: Commander Robert Falcon - Starfleet R&D
  • Uncle: James Falcon - Captain, Freighter S.S. Nova

Family History

Robert Falcon, Rho's grandfather, joined Starfleet during the Dominion War. At the time, he believed he was human. After a short time serving on the USS Freedom-A, the crew temporarily evacuated to a barren planet. The Jem'Hadar soon attacked, and in assisting in the crew's defense Robert took a hit. The damage made clear to him and those nearby that he did not have flesh and blood beneath his skin. After prooving he was not a threat, he was allowed to continue his Starfleet career. Near the end of the war, Robert created his 'children', a pair of AIs named Beta and Delta.

About a year after the end of the Dominion War, then Commander Robert Falcon was transferred to Starfleet R&D, taking his children with him, Now having the resources he needed, he built humanoid bodies for his children, first Delta then Beta. They took on human names, Delta becoming Alice and Beta becoming James. While Alice later chose to follow her father's path and join Starfleet, James preferred the life of a freighter captain.

Alice, feeling a similar call as her father, created Rho. Initially, like her mother, was given the form of a small, flight capable, disk-shaped robot. For the first years of her life she remained at R&D, but later felt the need to expand herself and her capabilities. She joined a friend of the family, who was the CO of another Starfleet ship. She learned a fair amount about interacting with organics, though isn't an expert yet. In the end, she really felt like a member of the crew. Her final act was to assist the crew in retaking the ship after a sneak attack managed to wrest control from them. The last act by the invaders was to infest the computer with a virus. Rho downloaded her program into the computer to repair the damage and beat the virus. She succeeded, but her disk was destroyed in the process.

With Robert's help, Alice constructed a humanoid body for Rho which the pair took to her as soon as was possible. Unlike her mother and uncle, Rho decided to keep her original Greek letter name. She feels it's somewhat unique, and gives her a tie to a part of her past she does not want to forget. Even then, holding the past still allows her to march into the future with her head held high.

Personal History

Rho joined Starfleet Academy, focusing her studies on engineering. She did well, graduating high in her class and making a few friends. Her finial training at Starbase 118, however, has given Rho much to think about. What seemed like a rescue mission suddenly turned into a real life invasion of the Terran Empire from the mirror universe. But it was all stopped by Q, who told Rho that this had been a test for her, and that the Continum would be watching her.

From there, she was assigned to the U.S.S. Constitution as an engineering officer. As the first of her family to be assigned to the engineering department, Rho was greatly looking forward to the assignment. However, she never even made it to Main Engineering. Immediately after arrival, she joined an away mission to Iconia 8, which ended early when the planet was beamed away through means unknown.

She was reassigned to Starbase 118, again to the engineering department. This adds more to her excitement about her assignment. Now, not only is she the first Falcon engineer, but she's the first to be actually assigned to the base since Robert was there some years before. As they prepare to beam over for the change of command, Rho waits in nervous anticipation.

Professional History

Other Information

Rho has the capability of carrying a number of pieces of equipment, with a couple other pieces of equipment built in.

Along with her android physical capabilities and on-board sensors, she has a sensor stealthing system which allows her to appear as a human in most all sensor scans. She also has an armor system built into the layers of her skin. While always in a semi-active state, it can be concentrated in the upper layers of her skin. This gives her excellent defense, but also gives her skin a gray sheen. Rho is also the first in her family to have tool storage space in her left arm. Generally she'll carry engineering equipment, but could easily switch those tools out for science or medical equipment. Each 'kit' is comperable to the Starfleet field kit of its type.

Like the others in her family, she has storage space for a couple other pieces of equipment. In her right forearm she can carry a small weapon called a pulse phaser. In her left flank is an access port where a small shield generator can be installed. While it is ineffective in combat, this shield can allow Rho to get through most standard force fields. However, Robert and Alice taught her to use her head. Equipment can fail, even family tech, but her mind is a powerful tool that is difficult to defeat. Under most circumstances, she does not carry the phaser or shield generator. Her usual preference it to use standard Starfleet technology.

With strengths come weaknesses. To run her enhanced equipment, Rho requires an on board reactor. She ingests food to survive like an organic being. If she runs on only her physical capabilities and sensors, her power cells can provide enough power. With all systems at full, she can go for a couple days without intake. She is also vulnerable to some forms of electromagnetic radiation. If one is encountered, she'll automatically shut down to protect herself.

Theroetical capabilties of her technology are not included at this time.
