Operation Bright Star refers to the Federation fleet actions leading up to and encompassing the recapture of Deep Space 17 from Vaadwaur forces in the summer of 2387. This was necessitated by the events of the Second Battle of Eratis, which resulted in the station being held by the Vaadwaur for a period of nearly two and a half weeks.
