T'Lea was the former Chief Science Officer in Dickens's first posting on board the USS COLUMBIA. There they started a relationship that has lasted through time and space. Captain Vetri was his former captain on the USS Avandar where he served as FO for the first time.
Della Vetri was the captain of the USS Avandar where he's posted as First Officer as Lt. Commander. She was T'Lea's fiancee and later married to her. Those two events, made him know her quite well and he'd developed a feeling of familiarity with her to the point that when he's transferred to the Discovery-C she was the first commanding officer he'd given a hug and considered her a friend for life.

Anora Manar was an officer with whom he'd developed a special friendship while she served under his command. They've become quite personal in their relationship.
Anora Manar has served with Dickens on the USS Avandar where he was FO and on the USS Atlantis where he's been FO and CSO. They've worked together and they were made prisoners on a frozen camp on an holographic settlement, what drove them to become closer as crewmates and friends.

Raj Blueheart His Commanding Officer on the Atlantis. They seem to have merged together well to command the Atlantis. He still has to get used to Blueheart style, but he seemed an easy man and they share the common goal of seeing the crew as more than a bunch of people doing their jobs.
After navigating the ship through an asteroid field while flying at high speed to avoid a chasing ship, he showed what a starfleet ship can do in good hands
