Rebecca is often kind and anxious around large crowds. When serious things happen however, she often rises to the task and can maintain a serious tone, where she can seem forceful and overly cautious. In her free time, she loves racing starships on the holodeck, reading, and keeping up on the current developments in her field.

Chronological History

Rebecca Owens was born on December 2nd, 2369 on a freighter while it was in transit between colonies. She grew up on it until she turned 18, meanwhile having helped around the ship performing various duties and learning from the rest of the crew. She then went to a trade school on Earth to learn mechanical skills and then was hired at the Utopia Planitia Shipyards orbiting Mars. While there, she was involved in an accident that left her back damaged, but mostly healed since. Upon encouragement from a friend, she later applied to Starfleet Academy. She focused in science, specifically nanotechnology. She graduated and was posted on the USS Columbia where she participated in two major missions before it was destroyed and was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade.

After the Columbia’s destruction, she was posted to another ship, where she gradually transitioned from science to security due to necessity. She found that she fell into the roll well and officially changed careers. After a while at her new posting, she requested a transfer to Starbase 118 and was accepted.
