	Background

Crystal Bay City is the most populous, and popular, city within the Zalvri District. Known for its sparkling clear waters and glass beaches, tourists flock to the area in droves from all over Elaysia II and beyond. Zalvri District gets its name from the Zalvrian Peninsula which comprises its area. The Peninsula is home to the Zalvrian culture of which Rendov belongs.

Rendov was born the only child of Darvim and Kelzra Felbri. While he lacked siblings he ended up spending most of his childhood with his five cousins. At the age of six his parents moved back to their hometown of Pendin to live on Kelzra’s family land with her sisters Velora and Hekena. Though they were cousins, the six of them developed something of a sibling rivalry with one another. They competed at everything. There was nothing, not a game, chore, or school assignment that wasn’t turned into a competition between them. Their parents eventually came up with a plan to try to temper their… enthusiasm for competing against one another by signing them up for the same sports teams which would force them to figure out how to work together.

While Rendov and his cousins played many sports growing up, he had a special appreciation for rock climbing, and the ancient Zalvrian martial art known as Tor zel Tay which heavily utilized Elaysia’s low gravity. His aunt, Velora, was a master practitioner and teacher of the form and trained him and his cousins. He went on to compete in Tor zel Tay at a professional level for most of his early and mid twenties.

In his late twenties he decided to pursue a different challenge, exploring the galaxy.

When he left Elaysia he took up wheelchair basketball as his sport of choice.

	Personality

Competitive, ambitious, goal oriented, and disciplined. Rendov is driven by wanting to excel in everything he does. Its not enough to simply get into Starfleet Academy and graduate, he double majored in Helm/Navigation & Com/Ops, opting for taking the max credit hours every semester, and graduating with honors. He is very much an all work, no play, type of person, his social life has suffered at the Academy because he was always studying or practicing, his only real friends being those on his basketball team.
