History
Jacob grew up in a very average family in a small town in upstate New York. He has one sister who works off planet and has been gone for several years.
With very few options and little direction .Jacob joined Starfleet against the wishes of his parents (He has in fact not even told them). His intention is to serve 2 years and return to civilian life better prepared for life as an adult.
Jacob is an average student but has shown some talent for communications and tactical.
Jacob can keep be a bit reserved, but can be outgoing when necessary, and can over indulge if he were to allow himself to do so. He has very few, but very close friends and avoids situations that involve small talk.
Overall, he can be described as a nice guy, and mostly harmless.
