Star Trek intro

Hey there, you probably saw that I made some changes to the Star Trek intro series you created as we're building out a new New Member Orientation area that will include both a Cadets and Ensigns area. So great work, and thank you for what you created!

Most of what you created I just integrated into the updated series and expanded it a little. But I wanted to make sure you were able to grab anything that wasn't integrated and use elsewhere if you wanted, so here are the old pages:

I'm going to delete these old pages in the next few weeks, so make sure to take a look and get anything you want to reuse. :) --Wolf /talk page 12:47, 19 December 2015 (CST)

RE: A few questions about files on the wiki

First file you mentioned works fine for me:

Re: File:Trident Ribbon.jpg -- it says in the description it had something to do with Atlantis, so I would put it in the Atlantis category. --Wolf /talk page 20:51, 30 December 2015 (CST)

Avalon Sector

You switched it back on me about 20 minutes before I had finished doing the initial work on the page that I had added. So when I went to post the info from my word perfect page that I had been working on it from to the wiki the page was gone... lol... no problem. I just re-added the link and then pasted the info onto the page for me to tweak and finish later. Canreb (talk) 12:26, 18 February 2016 (CST)

Category capitalization

I was talking to Deliera about the capitalization issue with categories. Do you think it'd be worth it to change the other categories that are currently not following the standard to be uniform? I'm thinking of asking Jordan to install this extension to make it less of a headache when we have to change the old category names to the new ones. ♫ Rich (Cmdr. Well, we do have the instructions to keep the second, third, and subsequent letters lowercase if they're not proper nouns on the Naming pages properly page, but I think most people don't really read that page when they first start.
When you go to make documentation, you should be able to just create a documentation page and then transclude it into the various LCARS template variants (i.e., put {{:NAME OF DOCUMENTATION PAGE}} in the template page) so you don't have to always update however many templates when you want to change the documentation.
Also, I've asked Jordan to create a wiki "power user" group so that hopefully soon non-admins in that group will be able to edit protected pages (without being able to change the protection levels or delete pages). ♫ Rich (Cmdr. System templates

Also, I was thinking all the various "wiki system templates" should probably just stay in that category instead of being added to the new ones since the average user will likely be overwhelmed looking at these other templates that they most likely won't actually use independently of the main template. What do you think? ♫ Rich (Cmdr. Roshanara Rahman)REPLYWiki AdminVeterans Affairs 15:55, 18 August 2016 (CDT)

Re: NPC rosters

Ok, sorry!

Alt text vs captions

Hi Nicholas! If you could hold off on making additional changes to the ILI, I believe since mediawiki automatically should turn captions.into alt text, then that might be the direction we will go along with a change to the template itself. But more discussion is needed with the other wiki admin and ops folks as they might have additional ideas while we research this issue. ♫ Rich (Capt. Smuggling

Yeah, I think most of it looks okay, but then I'd move the specific parts of one nation into its own section, grouped together (it probably doesn't need its own page just yet). ♫ Rich (Fleet Capt. Rahman)REPLYChief of Wiki OperationsVeterans Affairs 14:21, 15 May 2020 (UTC)

Journal articles

I don't think we have an established leading authority on accepting or not accepting journal articles. As such, unless they're totally empty, avoid marking them for deletion. ;) Deliera Veritastalk 12:16, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

RE: Question about a wiki page

Hello, I am not sure which player is in question here. Perhaps you should contact me directly to discuss further? Off hand I would say go ahead, but I don't know who we are specifically referring to here. Serala (talk) 12 June 2020 00:53 CDT

Meeks Photo Uploads

It was surely not my intent to violate any of the rules of the wiki by uploading the photographs I did. I was unaware of the rules I violated and sincerely apoligize if it created any harm or discredit to the group. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Avatar Photo/Bio Pic

I recently was admonished because I uploaded photos and because of my naivete was in error by doing so. I do not wish to create any issues, however I have created a new bio photo using the existing (headless) uniform found here on our Wiki as well as a created background where there was no author information to be found. I don't want to create a problem, and most of the photos I have seen on the wiki, with the exception of a few, have a watermark or stamp located on the pic that shows ownership to SB118. Can I use my own created photo on the wiki or do I need to have one of the wiki image creators do that work? I'm relatively new to manipulating graphics and I am having fun playing with them. Thank you for your guidance.
