When the Federation first arrived in the Par'tha Expanse in 238205, they immediately reclaimed the abandoned Chon outpost to repair, refurbish and remodel it into Deep Space 26. Almost as soon as their presence was known in the Expanse, local dignitaries, diplomats and ambassadors began arriving on the station. Over the years the number and identities of the ambassadors has changed, but the importance of keeping open lines of communication between all parties of the Expanse has never waivered. In 2391 Outpost Ganzera was built as a forward Intelligence station, but was quickly abandoned by Starfleet Intelligence and was given to the ambassadors as a stand-alone Embassy. That only lasted a couple of years before political pressure from the Valcarian Imperial Republic caused Ganzera to be abandoned, and the ambassadors to retreat to their original home on DS26 in 2393.
