Following the refit of DS33, and the reassignment of the USS Excalibur A, the USS Eagle is dispatched on a year-long survey and discovery mission to the Atrian Reaches in the Beta Quadrant under the command of Commodore Kalianna Nicholotti. While surrounded by well known systems, sectors, policial players, and destinations, the Reaches themselves have been unexplored, mostly unmapped, and generally considered ‘unremarkable’ - until now.
